Sunday Salon - May 19th

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. We are in NYC and have been for the last several days celebrating the Bat Mitzvah of my husband's oldest granddaughter.  Although there were (3) days of planned activities for family and friends, we did manage to have some free time to visit The Strand and The Met as well as visiting several terrific restaurants. Our time here has been fun and the weather had been awesome except for Saturday afternoon and today. We'll be heading home this evening.

How was your week in general?  It's was a busy week at work for most college employees - Commencement is this weekend, and picture perfect weather....sunny and 70 degrees all weekend. I'm off until Tuesday so happy about that.

  8. wow, so excited for your family! Thanks for including a photo of the baby and cats - so sweet. I love it when people share part of their personal life, within a comfort zone for all.

Sorry you have rain today, I didn't know this was in the forecast so I was a little surprised.

  9. I haven't visited NYC in so long!

The weekend has been ho-hum for me but I'll take ho-hum over a work day.

We are heading to a BBQ in a little bit. I really don't feel like going out but it's a nice day and there is no reason for me to be holed up in the house.

  16. Hi Everyone,

As an update to our weekend, the weather was not as perfect as initially predicted. Saturday afternoon and Sunday it pretty much rained continuously, but despite that we had a great time. This is the first Bat Mitzvah I have ever attended, and having it be in Manhattan, made it an affair that was truly "over the top".

It's good to be home, and I'm happy i had today off from work to relax a bit. Off to visit your blogs now:)

  18. How fun to be in NYC!

You reminded me to turn to some of the Penelope Lively books on my TBR shelf. It's been a while since I read one of her books.
