This week really flew by, and after being home sick all of the previous week, I'm pleased to say I made it through a full week of work and actually felt pretty good. I haven't had any exercise in 2 weeks as I did not want to hinder my recovery, but then, I don't need much of an excuse to avoid exercise...LOL despite that, I am still down 26lbs in 5.5 months so I'm thrilled.
My husband is in Philadelphia this weekend, visiting a friend. He's going to a Phillies game today and having dinner with his son whose birthday is tomorrow. So I've been having a fun "single" weekend. Time with my kids and sweet granddaughter.
14 months - not walking yet but ready
- Past few days I watched: We Bought a Zoo and To Kill a Mocking Bird (love both of those movies).
- Next Movie Up - Side Effects (a psych thriller)
- Just finished reading Silver Star; Jeanette Walls - really good story. I also finished listening to Under the Dome; Stephen King for the read-a-long as well -- good as well -- really held my interest.
- Now reading And the Mountains Echoed and listening to The Burgess Boys - both very good.
Have a nice Sunday everyone.
Sorry to hear you had been sick. Glad you are feeling better now!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better! You're granddaughter is a doll!

Peggy and Catherine -- thank you; I hope you are both having a good week.
DeleteBeautiful girl! single weekends are fun! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed that Cassandra Campbell narrates The Burgess Boys - she's one of my favorites, am sure it must be a great production!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your 'single' weekend... your granddaughter is growing so quickly :-)
Cassandra Campbell, once again, is excellent in Burgess Boys - I'm about 1/2 way into it and enjoying it.

ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better and how wonderful that you've lost 26 lbs! Wow!! I've been inspired to do the same but I'm not very motivated. I go for daily walks and eat better but I need more exercise. Time to get off the computer and head outside!
That little mini-human is so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteBrian and Iliana, yes even without all the fur, she is a cutie...LOL
DeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better! I hope the rest of your weekend with your loved ones will be wonderful. That little one is just too cute! Looking forward to your reviews!

DeleteAwesome baby girl! I am sure you are so enjoying her....and I'm glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI don't need much of an excuse to avoid exercise either, but you are definitely doing great anyway.
Here's MY MONDAY READING POST
Thanks Laurel -- she is special and fun age now.
DeleteI loved the book version of We Bought a Zoo so I hope to watch the movie some time too. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe movie is so sweet - love his little daughter.
DeleteOoh! Like both of those movies. I just bought the book 'We Bought a Zoo' and I'm interested to see how it will compare to the movie.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to read the book as well, but sometimes it makes one or the other seem not so special:)
DeleteOh, I loved both We Bought a Zoo and To Kill a Mockingbird, too! I watched them both for the first time in this past year. I really want to read Under the Dome - it's been in my TBR pile for years now - but it's hard to make time for a 1200-page book!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books and movies this week -
Sue
Book By Book
Big Book Summer Challenge
Under the Dome sure is a heavy tome - good but probably about 300 pages too long.
DeleteWhat a cutie! I'm glad you're on the road to feeling better!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary, she is special and so much fun now.
DeleteShe is adorable! Once she starts walking, all peace is gone, LOL! Congratulations on your weight loss!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stacy, My daughter loves every bit of motherhood. As for the weight loss, it does feel good especially for summer. I found clothes that I hadn't worn in 10 years:)

ReplyDeleteI love To Kill a Mockingbird as well. It was on this past weekend and of course I watched it.
