Mailbox Monday is hosted by Julie @ Knitting and sundries (this month). It's where bloggers share what arrived in their mailboxes last week. Here is my loot:
(sorry for the grainy photo - poor lighting)
- The Human Bobby; Gabe Rotter -- purchased for only ($5.95 with shipping); great reviews
- Outside the Ordinary World; Dorrie Ostermiller - purchased ($6.99 with shipping); more great reviews
- From the Land of the Moon; Milena Agus - unsolicited
- The Last Train; Gordon Titcomb - author contact (gorgeous book and cd)
- How to Write a Sentence, and How To Read One; Stanley Fish - unsolicited
- Inspirations: Selections from Classic Literature; Paulo Coelho unsolicited
I could have done with 'How To Write a Sentence' for NaNoWriMo.LOL
ReplyDeleteGood haul as always, Diane! "Outside the Ordinary World" is on my wishlist, so I'll be curious to see what you think!

ReplyDeleteThese sure are interesting books!
ReplyDeleteHere is my Monday post!
I haven't heard of any of those books. I hope you'll enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteSo, what do you do with unsolicited books? I had one the other week. As it's my first contact with this publisher (yes, indeed, where did they get my address from), I will review it, but I will also point them towards my review policy (on my Dutch blog, this is) about my policy with unsolicited books.
Anyway, will you read and review them?
Looking forward to your review of The Last Train, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should look into the "How to write a sentence" one!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great group of books Diane-enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe Human Bobby!!??! YAY! I so hope you enjoy it very much!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to the Agus. I think Europa Editions is being more proactive when it comes to soliciting blogger reviews. Yay! I love them and can't wait to read this one.
ReplyDeleteSelections from Classic Literature sounds like something I would like. I just discovered Paolo Coelho and quite like his work. I'll have to look into that, thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy The Human Bobby as much as I did!!
ReplyDeleteLots of great books Diane! I'm about halfway through Outside the Ordinary World and it is good. Enjoy.

WOW girl very impressed by titles.
Where did you get the Human Bobby so cheap? I've heard it is fantastic and would love to get a copy!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely haul you've there! I got The Human Bobby too!
ReplyDeleteYou had a great week!
ReplyDeleteI got a copy of From the Land of the Moon and I'm really looking forward to it. I don't think I've read another book set in Sardinia so it should be interesting!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books Diane!
I've heard a lot about The Human Bobby and Outside the Ordinary World. I need to pick those up soon.
ReplyDeleteWonderful books! (I think that some of my recent books could have used the "how to write a sentence" book; I've been running into so many grammatical/punctuation/syntax errors that my head is starting to hurt!)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy them all!
