Elizabeth is missing is the one I really want to get hold of. It sounded very intense.
ReplyDeleteIt was very good - still need to review it.
DeleteBeautiful photo! I'm glad you are enjoying the summer. You have so many books! I hope you enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat. She's a cutie.
DeleteWe love the little one on the beach! We love all that sand too!
ReplyDelete:) thanks Brian
DeleteI didn't think I would say this but the weather HAS been beautiful this summer. Not too hot thus far, except occasionally. Today it has rained here and it is so beautiful to stare outside!
ReplyDeleteThe weather seems to change in the blink of an eye sometimes.
DeleteJust love your photo - a perfect summertime scene! Fall is my favorite season, but I'm in no hurry for this summer to end.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books. I've seem some great reviews for Euphoria.
Agreed JoAnn -- I do like nesting and fall cooking and baking.
DeleteI've got Elizabeth is Missing on my TBR list and I also just requested The Children Act on Netgalley! Looks like a good haul for you!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I forgot to mention the McEwan book :( fixed it.
DeleteGorgeous picture - makes me want to be there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill:) She a curly headed cutie.
DeleteAs much as I love football season, I love summer even more.
ReplyDeleteI am not a football fan, but like football season, because my DH is entertained while I get more reading, cooking and nesting time.
DeleteBeautiful beach (and baby!). Enjoy....and I LOVED Elizabeth is Missing.
ReplyDeleteI am also curious about Mr. Mercedes...some of King's later books are more to my liking than his horror ones.
Have a great week, and here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST
Thanks Laurel. Yes, I prefer the more recent SK books as well.
DeleteWe are having great summer weather too! Lovely photo, looks like a great place to relax and read.
ReplyDeleteYes, thanks -- beach is so nice when you catch it at the right time (without crowds).
DeleteIt has been an inordinately beautiful summer. I found myself whining to my aunt that it hadn't been a little hotter this summer so I could enjoy more swimming, but then I realized that I must be insane to think so, and it's been great getting to spend more time outside without roasting!
ReplyDeleteLOL, so true Megan.
DeleteAhhh, you failed to list in your listings the very one I would be most interested in reading, in the picture.
ReplyDeleteThe Ian McEwan one.
I KNOW! Yikes -- shame on me; I fixed it. thanks
DeleteWhat a great photo! Our weather has been on and off, but I much prefer this to winter.
ReplyDeleteThe Stephen King book looks so good.
I hope you have a great week!
Thanks Yvonne -- The S KING book is really good. I like the older SK's writing.
DeleteI only have Mr. Mercedes and Breakwater Bay of the above-mentioned and haven't read them yet. I'm glad you're enjoying summer and vacation time. I complain about the hot weather, but when it was winter up north I complained about snow, so I guess I'll take moderate temps whenever I can get 'em! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI do the the same thing about New England weather -- complain about too hot or too cold, but I know I would HATE living in FL or anywhere South permanently. I do enjoy snow.
DeleteI'm really enjoying Dear Daughter, hoping to finish it tonight. Happy reading!!
ReplyDeleteAnxious to try it myself.
DeleteWe've had a mild summer so I love that but I'm a bit afraid that winter will be as cold as last year (yikes!). Enjoy your new books, Diane!
ReplyDeleteWeather worries are a reality these days -- one day at a time:)
DeleteI still haven't finished Mr. Mercedes, but I hope to get to it on my coming vacation. Happy reading
ReplyDeleteIt's very good Serena, but taking it slow as I am reading another chunkster as well.
DeleteThe weather here has been odd but I guess I missed it since I was buried backstage all weekend.
ReplyDeleteI miss the ocean so much. Great mailbox this week. Enjoy!
ReplyDelete2 Kids and Tired Books MM
The ocean has always been my place for solace.
DeleteWe still haven't made it to the ocean this summer--you think we would given how close it is. It's just been such a crazy summer though. Of course, after yesterday, I am not sure I am so eager to go to the beach--14 people struck by lightening! Crazy!
ReplyDeleteYou've got some great books there that look like they will be good. Silkworms, of course. And Connelly's new book (I'm so behind in that series!). I hope you enjoy them all!
I read that Wendy, how awful. Imagine being at the beach (or anywhere really) and having that happen.
DeleteDarling picture! Enjoy your new books, Diane.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan -- Have a great week.
DeleteNice week, we have a few of the same books. I haven't read a Peter Lovesey book in ages. Maybe it's time to take another peek.
ReplyDeleteWe've had mostly perfect weather here too, for me anyway. Football weather can stay in the distant future. I just finished Mr. Mercedes. I liked it but it wasn't what I was expecting - and the mommy creep factor was a bit unnerving. But then again, we are talking about the mind of Stephen King!
Mommy Creep factor ===??===not there yet, but anxious to learn more.
DeleteWe have been having great weather here too - though I would love to go to the beach too! That's such a cute picture!
ReplyDeleteI heard great things of Elizabeth is Missing, it's definitely one I want to read too - I'm glad to read you enjoyed it. Your new selection looks great! I received Dear Daughter too and can't wait to get to it!
Thanks Kay - Eliz is Missing is very good -- on audio her voice really pulls you in.
DeleteEnjoy! your reading week.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and have a great week as well.
DeleteGreat collection of books...and only 2 weeks worth! :)
ReplyDeleteI want to read Mr. Mercedes--I'm going from someone who boasted she never read Stephen King to being a real fan girl.
Happy reading.
Me too Jane, I went SK free for over 15 years and then 11/22/63 brought me back -- I like the older, gentler SK.
DeleteCity of Bones and The Stone Wife are catching my eye.
ReplyDeleteYou had a wonderful mailbox. ENJOY all your books and your reading week.

My Mailbox Monday
Wow! That is one happy mailbox :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture of the little one. Our summer has been really nice as well--a few days over 100 but at noon today it was 75. Unheard of for Texas! Hope you continue to enjoy the pleasant summer with the little ones!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about The Silkworm. I hope it's good!
ReplyDeleteEchoing everyone's comments, our weather has been so wonderful this summer! We've enjoyed several evenings outside on the deck and porch with the absence of humidity and bugs. Love it!! I'd be happy if it stayed like this year-round!
ReplyDeleteI'm eager for the new McEwan book, although I still have Sweet Tooth (??) in my stacks. Also curious about the Annie Dillard book. I've never read her, but I always glance at her collection of essays when I see them on the shelves.
Adorable scene of the beach baby!
