"If anyone told me I could bring down the president, and the Pure Movement, and that incompetent little shit, Morgan LeBron in a week's time, I wouldn't believe them. But I wouldn't argue. I wouldn't say a thing.
I've become a woman of few words."
What do you think? Read more or pass? (My DIL told me about this one and I thought it sounded good).
Probably not, sounds confusing.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm drawn to this one, partially due to the times in which we find ourselves. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about this one, it doesn't grab my attention. Here is my 'First Chapter, First Paragraph Tuesday': https://theavidbookreviewer.blogspot.com/2018/10/first-chapter-first-paragraph-tuesday_30.html
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing a lot of talk (ha! - considering the subject) about this book. I'm still on the fence about reading it, but it was on one of my book group's vote list for next year. We shall see if it's selected.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant opener... love the 'voice' already
ReplyDeleteIntriguing...I'd keep reading.
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of this and am looking forward to reading it. Hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThe opening is different, and engaging. I'd read more! The cover also demands attention.
ReplyDeleteI have heard really good things about this one too. See what book Susan is featuring at Girl Who Reads
ReplyDeleteI do like the opening, glad you shared it as the cover did not grab me at all.
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of book. I want to keep reading. I'm going to get this from the library. Thanks for sharing this one Diane.
