I just downloaded the audio version of The Wife; Meg Wolitzer, from the library and am loving it. The audio is so well done and I'm really enjoying the story. Hope to see the film afterward. Have you read this one or watched the film?
Such a nice bunch of goodies!
ReplyDeleteThey all look good to me! I got Things You Save in a Fire too and have heard it's good.
ReplyDeleteThe only one on your list that I planned on reading is the Daughter of Molokai. I really loved Molokai so hope I am not building up this sequel too much.
ReplyDeleteI loved Moloka'i (pre-blogging days), so I'm interested in the follow-up. I haven't read any of his other novels, have you? I've got a copy of The Red Address Book on my shelf and plan to read it as soon as I finish The Brutal Telling. It looks good! Adding The Wife to my Audible list. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo far I don't have any of the books you mentioned in my reading plans. I will wait for your reviews!
ReplyDeletereally enjoyed Red Address Book!
ReplyDeleteKen and I watched the first 45 minutes or so of The Wife, renting it via Prime--on the expensive side. I totally forgot to watch the rest of it the next day and so we "lost" the rental. Darn!! Definitely worth seeing.
ReplyDeleteDaughters of Moloka'i looks like a good one. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAll new to me!
ReplyDeleteI have The Daughter of Molka'i, but have not read it yet. I'm interested in some of the other titles you mention, too.
ReplyDeleteI loved the audio version of The Wife - so well done!! Still haven't seen the movie though. Hopefully soon...
ReplyDeleteAll of your arrivals are new to me, Diane! I hope you'll enjoy each.

ReplyDeleteIt's so good to get so many goodies in the mail! I have seen The Storyteller's Secret on Amazon. I saw The Wife last weekend. Glenn Close was fantastic in it. I recommend you watch it after you finish the book.
ReplyDeleteI saw The Wife last weekend. A tour de force performance by Glenn Close. I recommend you watch it, though not that soon after reading the book because the movie may pale in comparison to the movie played in your mind. Good luck with the book.
ReplyDeleteI like the looks of This Much Country. I think I might try to get it at the library. I have seen The Wife movie and it is good. See it after you finish it.
