(4) years ago I posted this picture (left) of Rae the 3-legged kitten my daughter had adopted. She's adjusted well, even now with a toddler and infant added to the family (although she like to sleep behind the sofa or as high up as possible some days).
Visiting yesterday I noticed Rae in a picture purrfect position. So here she is as 4+ years old (right).
Grandkids or Grandcats we love them all.

DeleteYour daughter's cat is still adorable after all these years. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a fine haul of books. I'm very excited to hear more about the new Sarah Waters and Garth Stein books, and I'm looking forward to a copy of The Secret Place in my own mailbox. =D
And isn't it always the way that as soon as you get rid of some books they replace themselves and then some? I know I can't get ahead of mine, and I'm pretty sure I gave away *hundreds* last summer. :-x
Like dust, books quickly surface again and again. We love little Rae.
DeleteI remember Rae!... she looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe Are Not Ourselves and And Then There Were None are both great reads. Glad you're enjoyinging weekends this summer.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great stack you got there, nice! I read and enjoyed One Kick, I want to read We Are Not Ourselves, I've read and have on my Classics Club list A Tale of Two Cities, one of my fave classics to reread. Also, And Then There Were None, a good one! I read the first Tana French and wasn't sure about it but Trish @ Between My Lines highly recommends her, so I want to continue that series.
Have a great week and enjoy those incredible titles!
Awww, pretty kitty! And a nice bunch of books. I missed The Paying Guests on Vine, now I'll have to wait for it in audio.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leslie -- Sarah Waters is talented.
DeleteOh yeah, it's too easy to be swept away by all those piles of books! I went to a bookstore this week and brought home a few too. Love your kitty - she looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe kitty is my daughters - just 3 legs:(
Deleteyour grand kitty is adorable! what a beautiful coloring on her coat! I'm in Phoenix this week and it is so NOT Fall weather around here {108 on average} Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteStacy -- that is hot hot hot temps ugh
DeleteGrandcat...I love it! Your books look so wonderful; I have Boy, Snow, Bird but of course I haven't read it yet. Then the library holds come in all at once. Just as I go in to begin school tomorrow, I've been notified that All The Light We Cannot a See is ready for pick up. What is that about?! It's like renting in New England during August and finding 50 temps. ;)
ReplyDeleteSo true about the library holds coming all at once. I picked up 4 audio books and one print today -- guess several will be returned unread.
DeleteAw, Rae looks so sweet!
ReplyDeleteLots of great books - my Vine is full of toys.
Thanks Kathy - she's a sweetie.
DeleteVine offerings are a little weird with the new program for me:)

DeleteWeather has been terrible too here in Montreal this past week, but it's supposed to be sunny and hot this week Let's hope so! You got some great books. Haven't read any of them but my find Sandra read The Virtues of Oxygen and liked it.
ReplyDeleteThe nights have been really cool and fall like - the days are great though high 70s
DeleteI'm jealous of the Sarah Waters, I really need to finish the Tana French series, and I adore And Then There Were None, one of my favorite books of all time.
ReplyDeleteBoth do sound really good - too many books too little time:)
