Miz B and Teaser Tuesdays asks you to:
- Grab your current read, and let the book fall open to a random page.
- Share
two (2)(3) sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12. - You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from.
(p. 33)..."She felt caught here now, like a bird in a net, and however much she struggled she would never escape. If she wished to be free, she must go now, climb from her window and run like a mad thing along the white road that stretched like a snake across the moors. Tomorrow it would be to late."
What are you reading? Please leave your teaser link; Thanks

Ooohhh....great teaser!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved Rebecca, but have not yet read any other DuMaurier novel.
I look forward to the review.
Great teaser! I feel like a DuMaurier book must be a great source of teasers in general, judging from Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteMy Teaser Tuesday this week is from sci-fi classic The Forever War. Check it out at bookwanderer.
One of my favorite of DuMaurier's books. Great tease! My teaser.

ReplyDeleteI am enjoying this book; thanks for asking!
ReplyDeletelove reading Daphne--so descriptive . . .
ReplyDeleteKaye—the road goes ever ever on
Great teaser! This was my beach read a couple of summers ago. The movie is worth checking out - done by Hitchcock. I love Hitchcock but he changed the ending and I prefer du Maurier's original version. (It's also hard to find a good quality DVD - the sound quality was terrible on the one that I rented from Netflix, as were the images). Still worthwhile though.
ReplyDeleteHere's my teaser:
One of my all time favorite books is Rebecca by Daphne. I have never read Jamaica Inn and I should-thanks for the Tuesday Teaser!
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser Diane. I've heard this one of DuMaurier's is really good. I'll be watching for your review.
ReplyDeleteI hope she got out of there! Great teaser!
ReplyDeleteI don't get this teaser, here is my reason...
ReplyDeleteWhatever is she running from???? Loving this one!
ReplyDeleteI have always been a bit nervous about reading this book. Rebecca is absolutely one of my favourite favourite books and my sister read Jamaica Inn and said it wasn't very good. Im scared if reading it and it ruining Rebecca for me in some way. I am probably just being paranoid, because the teaser does sound good.
ReplyDeleteI love Du Maurier's writing style. Great teaser, I hope you're enjoying this book!
ReplyDeletethanks for dropping by On the Bookcase!
ReplyDeleteThanks for everyones comments, and those of you who want to know more, will have to read it yourself (Staci)LOL
ReplyDeleteI really liked Jamaica Inn, have you read Rebecca? I preferred that one, but Jamaica Inn has a lot of drama and intrigue!
ReplyDeleteHere is my teaser: http://irishrosedkm.wordpress.com/2010/02/23/teaser-tuesday-let-the-right-one-in/
DuMaurier can really put you in the scene. I just love her books. Have a great week and happy reading.
ReplyDeleteChina,
ReplyDelete"She felt caught here now, like a bird in a net, and however much she struggled she would never escape. If she wished to be free, she must go now, climb from her window and run like a mad thing along the white road that stretched like a snake across the moors. Tomorrow it would be to late."
(I understand why might feel that way. You'd have to read more to understand fully and I prefer not to get into the plot line).
And did she escape? Nice tease!
ReplyDeleteI love duMaurier, but I haven't read this one. Great tease!
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser! I'm planning on reading Frenchmans Creek this year.
