I told myself, "2011 = Challenge-Free", but of course that all changed when I decided to host one challenge again, and to join just a few, that seemed to easily fall into my plans for 2011.

I am also planning on tracking, but not officially joining several other challenges .....like:
New Authors; Immigrant Stories; South Asian Challenge; Library Reads; ARC/Review Books; 2011 Pub Books; Classics and Childrens Books.
Can you resist a good challenge?
Can I resist a good challenge? The only reason why I have not signed up for any 2011 challenges so far is that I have not allowed myself to read the posts at A Novel Challenge :)
ReplyDeleteI was pathetic with challenges this year - but that does not mean that I don't like them. I plan to peruse the site over the weekend and make some decisions by Sunday.
I love the ones to which you have committed!
No, I can't resist a good challenge - that's why I'm joining you on the 2011 Reading from my Shelves Project
ReplyDeleteYou've joined some good challenges. I'm working on my list now. I did not do very well on my challenges for 2010 but I think 2011 will be better!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I love it when we start out with our mindset for one thing and then we just go in the other direction! I love the challenges and I'm not going to be beat myself up if I don't complete them all, but YOUR challenge is the ONE that I will be successful with in 2011 !
ReplyDeleteI started out saying no challenges as well, hehe oops! I am still adding to the list :) Good luck with them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the E-Book Reading Challenge! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteNo, I cannot resist a reading challenge! I am participating in two of these.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I have signed up for more than I planned...so I'm thinking I should call a halt. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove reading about them, though. Good luck!
That is a lot of challenge! :) I haven't signed up for any challenge yet. The [time] pressure is just too much to handle for me! Haha. Hope you have a blast in your reading life this 2011. Happy New Year! :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is hard to resist a good challenge, I have to agree! I am trying not to look at other challenges anymore, but I may just combine your Reading from my shelf one with the TBR challenge hosted by Roof Beam Reader...
ReplyDeleteI was so disappointed to say I read just 4 books from my shelves in 2010 but I have to do better in 2011, if only because six of my book club picks are sitting on the shlef above my desk! HA
ReplyDeleteI will join you again and hope to do a better job with the move (no packing/unpacking) and the run behind me. :)
I wish you a wonderful 2011!
Apparently I can't resist a good challenge. I signed up for 18 after promising myself that I wouldn't, plus I'm hosting 5. I'm nuts! LOL
ReplyDeleteI made the same decision....NOT to commit to any reading challenges, but I caved as well. I guess it's part of what makes us readers to the core.
ReplyDeleteAll the best in 2011!!
I saw your comment over on the memorable memoir challenge from last year - do you know if anyone is hosting it this year? I put together a post and then couldn't find a page for a 2011 challenge.
ReplyDeleteNever mind, I found the challenge page. :P
ReplyDeleteI have two options: I can be the hear no challenge, see know challenge, speak no challenge monkey, or I can fess up and tell you I'm really doing a lot of those challenges, but I'm just not going FORMAL and declaring and tracking and reporting.
ReplyDelete2011 is my year of reading and reviewing, and commenting on everybody else's challenges.
Enjoy the year.
Good luck with the challenges. I look forward to hearing about all of the books you will be reading for them!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in the challenges!
ReplyDeleteI'm not joining any this year. :D
Glad to hear you are following along on the Immigrant Stories challenge! I am rejoining many of mine from last year even though I didn't finish them all - the themes were good and I want to try again!
ReplyDeleteWe're in some of the same ones. But my attitude about challenges is that I try to complete them but I don't let them rule mylife.
