Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.
In our family, every other word that comes out of one of us has something to do about the "baby" who will be here soon. So today it seemed appropriate to show you some photos:
Anxiously awaiting 1st grandchild
"we know it's a girl"
Handmade gifts of love by our DIL for the new baby. So far she made 5 sweaters, and an afghan, and just look at the book Woolbur - the perfect choice as well. (Click on sweater photo to enlarge)
One Baby Shower Last Sunday and another this Sunday!
The sweaters are just adorable. Yep, it's a girl.:)
ReplyDeleteLuv your header.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tea for the compliments and for stopping by my blog.
DeleteHow exciting!
ReplyDeleteYes, exciting, I feel like my life is changing so much....I know my daughter's will for sure.
DeleteOohh I love waiting on babies! Isn't it so exciting? Those sweaters are adorable. I especially like the green one :)
ReplyDeleteVery exciting Trish. My daughter does not like traditional pinks and all pastels for babies. She loves earthy colors and stripes, polka dots etc.
DeleteHow exciting!! Your DIL is super talented - all those sweaters look wonderful. I love the detailed yokes and all the buttons. Buttonholes? Yikes!
ReplyDeleteKaye, I loved how different these were as well.
DeleteDiane, those little sweaters are just precious. I know you guys are so excited and understandably. Babies are such a joy.
ReplyDeleteKay....squealing with excitement and anxious to meet the little one.
DeleteHow exciting! The big day will be here before you know it.
ReplyDeleteI'm learning to knit socks, challenging, so seeing the beautiful sweaters are amazing.
Thanks Mari...this baby is going to be the best dressed infant ever...LOL
DeleteThis is such an exciting time... so happy for all of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks JoAnn
DeleteSo excited for you. I love that shot of her round belly, and the sweaters are adorable. Your grandbaby should be warm for a couple of years. The sweaters look big, but it's hard to remember how incredibly tiny newborns are. Here's Mine I meant my blog post, not my baby!
ReplyDeleteLOL.....not new baby huh???
DeleteHow exciting! Those sweaters are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy -- beyond excited!
DeleteYour DIL has talent! Those sweaters are tres cute! In the Caribbean we say that if the mother's tummy is pointed and high, it's a boy and if it rides low then it's a girl. I don't know how scientific this is, though.
ReplyDeleteWe'd be in for a big surprise if the she was a he! So many girly things have been purchased. Thanks for stopping by today.
Delete6.5 more weeks? Whoa! I bet she's ready (both baby and Mama)!! :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely at the uncomfortable stage right now...LOL
DeleteI love those sweaters almost makes me want to knit again!!!
ReplyDeleteJake...wish I had some talent like that!
DeleteWish I could knit like that! That baby girl is one lucky kiddo! Mama is looking ready to pop! bet you are all so excited!
ReplyDeleteSusan....Mama is ready for sure, and yes we are beyond excited.
DeleteOh, how exciting! I remember the first grandchild and how excited I was. Each one after was also a thrill, but there's nothing like the first one.
ReplyDeleteI love how today's parents know the sex ahead of time. When I had my daughter (after three boys), I spent the whole time wishing...and, not knowing until the very minute she was born.
Great sweaters, too. Thanks for sharing.
Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT
Laurel...I would have loved to know what I was having at the time. Baby will be so well dressed for sure...LOL Have a great Sunday.
DeleteLove the handmade sweaters and the book for baby. We are awaiting the birth of our great-niece's first baby, also a girl.
ReplyDeleteExciting times -- nothing like handmade, especially with all of the gorgeous yarns nowadays.
DeleteThe little sweaters are so cute. This is going to be an exciting summer for you. I bet you just can't wait for the little one to arrive!
ReplyDeleteYesterday while shopping we saw a little (1) year old girl, and it seemed just so hard to imagine that next year the baby will be that big!
DeleteWhat great looking sweaters for a spring baby.
ReplyDeleteThanks Eva.
DeleteShe looks fantastic and a first grand baby will be so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks Helen. She feels great but is getting anxious as she's starting to feel uncomfortable.
DeleteAww, baby clothes are always so adorable! And those are handmade? Wow, I'm impressed--and what a gift of love for a new baby!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, yes all handmade with love.
DeleteCongrats!! I just "had" my first grandchild a couple months ago. Kaye (above) is right about your DIL being talented. If you had to pay for those beautiful hand-made baby clothes, they would be really expensive! Lucky baby, and she is not even here yet!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you Libby! Yes, hand made it expensive to purchase for sure -- one lucky baby.
DeleteCongrats on the baby to come! My sis-in-law is having her baby right now and we're waiting anxiously to hear if it's a boy or girl.
ReplyDeleteOhhh exciting Alyce..Thanks for the well wishes.
DeleteHow exciting and girls are so much fun to dress! Cute, cute sweaters.
ReplyDeleteThey do have cute boys clothes now, but nothing like buying for a little girl!
DeleteAaaaw! You ought to post that on Waiting on Wednesday, the meme that has us post the new release we are looking forward to. So happy for you and your family. Great pic.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sim:)
DeleteTwo photos conveyed such a wonderful sense of excitement. Thank you so much for sharing your anticipation with us!
ReplyDeleteCathy....thanks so much--beyond excited.
DeleteCute clothes!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila.
DeleteSo exciting!! I love the striped sweater and the gray one!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is Melissa. I'm guessing you have your hands full right now...:)
DeleteSuch an exciting time for you all. Your DIL is a very clever knitter, such a lucky baby already.
ReplyDeleteLouise...yes lucky baby, lucky us.
DeleteOh … this baby is going to be so snuggly and cute and warm!! Love that big ole pregnant belly!! Seems hard to believe she has 6.5 weeks more to go! She looks ready now!
ReplyDeleteShe''s very short waisted and petite so all baby bump for sure.
DeleteOh what a fabulous picture! She's all baby and still a bit high. I'm sure everyone cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteStephanie....thank you, and yes so exciting.
DeleteThose sweaters are beautiful - your DIL is so talented! I'll bet you're getting excited, grandma!
ReplyDeleteLisa...excited beyond words.
DeleteHow exciting for you all - a new bub does take over family life for quite some time. And the grandparenting role is just wonderful. I loved seeing the change in my own parents when they became grandparents for the first time. It was like seeing 2 new people evolve.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely will be a new stage in life for everyone..thanks for stopping by.
DeleteVicki...don't tell me that...too many dresses have been purchased already LOL
ReplyDeleteWon't be long now!!! I hope TIME doesn't slow down for you! :-D Great pictures this Saturday. Thx for stopping by mine!!!
ReplyDelete6.5 weeks!!! Yay..almost there! I love those sweaters..gorgeous and like you said made with LOVE!
ReplyDeleteThe baby will be here any minute!! Mommy looks great!
