First Chapter ~ First Paragraph Tuesday Intros

Every Tuesday I host First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros, where I share the first paragraph or (2) of a book I am reading or thinking about reading soon.  Care to join us? Feel free to grab the image and link your post below.

This week I'm featuring an intro from a book that I started at lunch yesterday and I am enjoying. It seems like a good old-fashion type story.

Knopf - February 2013

"WHEN THE TEST came back the nurse called them into the examination room and when the doctor entered the room he just looked at them and asked them to sit down.  They could tell by the look on his face where matters stood."

What do you think? Would you keep reading or move on to something else? Want to join in? Please add your link below.

  1. I don't have to read the first paragraph to know that I'd read Kent Haruf! I've been waiting to read this one until I have the free time to savor it.
