Happy Easter and Reading Update

A quick Easter Sunday post before I get preparations underway for company and Easter Dinner.  I made desserts last night and since we are not fans of ham, I'm cooking a turkey for dinner.  I'm looking forward to family being together and those (3) cute little kiddos.  Do you have any special plans for Easter?

One new book came by mail last week, it's a memoir which I think sounds pretty good  and the reviews have been wonderful ---

Henry Holt & Company - 2016

(This weeks library loot)

On the reading front I have been very busy. This past week I finished, Spark Joy; Marie Kondo, Find Her; Lisa Gardner and All the Light We Cannot See; Anthony Doerr (audio) but, I still need to work on reviews.  I'm in the process of reading, The Guise of Another; Allen Eskens, Shelter; Jung Yun, Missoula; Jon Krakauer (audio)

That is about it for today. Wishing you all a happy day and wonderful week.

  7. I'm not a huge fan of ham, either, but my husband gets a huge spiral baked every year from his company. Oh, well. We freeze a lot to make sandwiches throughout the spring & summer. :)

Looking forward to your thoughts on the audio version of All the Light We Cannot See. I loved the book and have the audio for a re-read.

    Happy Easter! Enjoy those littles!

  11. We are going pretty low key around here as all of the older kids are away and it's just me, my husband, and the little. I'm planning breakfast for dinner because I'm not enough of a morning person to make breakfast for breakfast. It sounds like you have a lovely meal planned! If at Birth You Don't Succeed sounds intriguing. I've been really enjoying memoirs lately. Have a great week and a Happy Easter!

  15. I listened to All the Light We Cannot See and really enjoyed it. Some books are just designed for audio, and this one worked for me in this format.
