Sunday Salon ~ March 14, 2010

So how was your week? I felt a little stressed this week. Wednesday was my job interview for the library position. It was a series of interviews (3 hours) and I think it went well. I must have met everyone who works there -- seriously, I met close to 20 employees. Everyone seemed really nice and I think it would be a great fit for me. There were 5 candidates interviewed for this job. I'm hoping I hear something next week, but  I'm one of those people who believes things happen for a reason, so time will tell if it's meant to be.

How was your week in books? Here is what I read:

Tentative Wishful Reading Plans for This Week
What is on your agenda for today? I hope to stay hope, catch up on some review, read and cook.  Hope you have a great day and week.

  1. I'm still wishing you the best of luck on the library job! I guess they are pretty thorough in the interview process having spent 3 hours with you!! It's been a LONG time since I went on an interview, but I'm sure you are happy that that part is over.

Looks like a full week of reading ahead for you too! I'm also reading Wench. I look forward to your review of A Gate At the Stairs, as I've had it in my hand numerous times at the bookstore...

    Have a great week!

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on Wife's Tale and also Wench. Both in my TBR.

  5. Good luck with the job! Who wouldn't want to work at the library. I'm really surprised there weren't more job seekers.

I'm glad to see you loved The Wife's Tale. I won that one recently and am anxiously awaiting for it to arrive.

  17. Hope you get the job! I finished another book in Robyn Carr's Virgin River Saga this week and started a new book, which I am loving. It's called Casting Off and is about a single mother with a scary past spending a summer in Ireland learning about knitting "ganseys" (sweaters) for a book she's writing. I LOVE this book so far. It has fascinating characters and is beautifully written.

  23. Today is so beautiful that I am lured away from any reading at all. This sunshine, this pale azure sky with no clouds, the promise of rambling in a bookstore. -Well not getting away from books altogether.

Good luck with the job! It sounds like a great opportunity.

  33. I hope you get the job!

I am so sleepy this morning. I had to take some NyQuil last night and I was soooo half asleep this morning when the alarm went off. I am still a little tipsy from that medication but I'm at work trying to keep the eyes open.

I finished The Help yesterday and started Mockingbird but it's really hard to read as it
is from the point of view of a girl with Asperger's.
