I am one of those people who love my sleep and private time, so I've been spending a lot of time thinking about my work routine (yep ...I'm a planner). I'm thinking about hitting the sheets by 10:30 pm each evening, and getting up at 5:00am, so that I can check email, blog on occasion, have a relaxing breakfast, shower and be out of the house by 7:40am. My hours are (8-4) and it is only 6 miles from home.
As for my reading, I've accepted the fact that it will slow down, and that I will be listening to more audio books, when I walk at lunchtime, or while driving and before bed.
This week, I met another high school friend. This one I had not seen in over 20 years, and once again, it was yap, yap, yap, just like old times. So much fun.. now we want to coordinate (4) of us from the old gang getting together for even more chatty, gossipy girl talk.

Diane, have a wonderful first day on the new job. It sounds like a perfect job :)
ReplyDeleteCute picture. I have two rabbits, and for a short time fostered a kitten. They got along fairly well. In the end the kitten was too playful for the rabbits. I think a full grown cat would probably be fine with them though. My rabbits do play, but they kitten was out of control action all day long.
ReplyDeleteRabbits need their rest.
Good luck at the new job.
Good luck on the new job tomorrow!!!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the new job!
ReplyDeleteGood luck this week... very exciting!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday. I see you gave House Rules a 5/5. :)
ReplyDeleteHope things work out with the new job. I am also back to work fulltime and find much, much less time for reading and blogging. Too tired at the end of the day. Hope that won't be your case, tho. Have a good week.

Good luck and all the best on your new job, Diane! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck tomorrow! I think your plan will work out beautifully. I get up 30 min earlier than I have to so that I can get my morning walk in before work. It makes my day to get that out of the way early.
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best on the new job. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a routine person as well. I don't like it when circumstances beyond my control dislodge me from my routine. Reading especially. But this past week my whole biological clock is subverted, let alone my routine, since I was home in Hong Kong. I had to come back when I was just being acclimatized to the new routine there. Reading is surprisingly productive. All that I did was keeping my father's company while I read.
