Saturday Snapshot
is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books.
Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.
Couldn't resist snapping a few photos when we saw these on one of our trips:
Now these have distinct style don't you think?
Look what was in the trunk of the blue car? LOL
Do you think we'll find class in the cars of today when we look back in 50 years? They just don't have the same style, do they? Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteWe tried to go to an old car show last night but I obviously got the location wrong. Boo hoo. I love to see the old cars from the 40's - such style and character.
ReplyDeleteBTW, your new header pic is fabulous! Hope you're enjoying being semi-unplugged this summer. Hard to believe it's almost over.
Love the colors of the cars! My first car looked something like the top one - only not such an interesting color.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the hood opens on the blue car. I hope that skeleton head is fake!
ReplyDeleteI love looking at those cars...so much class and style!! The skull is funny!
ReplyDeleteThose are very cool rides!
ReplyDeleteThat first one would make a very cool Batmobile.
ReplyDeleteClassic cars that are well maintained are so beautiful, aren't they? We have quite a few in out town, which is fun
ReplyDeleteThose cars do take me back...I remember the summer and fall that I drove around in my 1957 Chevrolet...until we traded it in for something newer.
ReplyDeleteYears later, I was kicking myself.
Thanks for sharing, and here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
Old cars are so cool! I posted a car today, too...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vintage cars! Loved the skull too!
ReplyDelete:D
Here is my Saturday Snapshot post!
I assume the owner of the blue car is a "deadhead?"
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - what a shock to open the trunk and see that!
ReplyDeleteLOL at the skull pic, and yes those were the days!!
ReplyDeleteMy Snapshot.
I remember cars with fins from when I was a little girl! I loved those big things, especially when my father would take us for a "Jammy Ride" (in our pajamas to get ice cream). Eating in the car? How special was that!
ReplyDeleteThe skull is an interesting addition! haha
ReplyDeleteMy hubby would love those cars. The skull? Hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteWas the skull the last owner? The old cars can be mystery novels.
ReplyDeleteLove these old cars! We have a lot of car shows around here and it seems that many people like to have one or two of their own. You may have dug a little too deep in that one trunk though! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
I was totally loving that blue car till you showed the skull. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a show of cars my husband would appreciate, except for the skull. I wouldn't like it either.
ReplyDeleteWas there a car rally nearby?
Ahhh, they just don't make cars like that any more. These ones had actual metal in them!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous.
tht surprise in the trunk is more than I'd like to find.
ReplyDeleteSummer just isn't summer without a car show thrown in♫♪
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a classic car show in a while. The skull in the trunk isn't too bad. I was at one show where the guy had a snake in the car... a real live huge snake!
ReplyDeleteBeen away from a week, so I'm catching up. My Saturday Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/a62PX Love your shots of those beautiful old cars - but I couldn't cope with the skull!
ReplyDeleteI love old cars. These are beauty's, but you got a little extra there ;)
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool! I like the design and style of the older cars, and think my dad would appreciate them a lot. He has a vast appreciation for vintage cars. Thanks for sharing these with us today.
ReplyDeleteI also love vintage cars. Great photos, Diane!
ReplyDeleteThat skull is an interesting idea. Good sense of humor! Great cars. My father owned a Pontiac garage, and those babies were all about style! And the colors! Very few colors on the road today.
ReplyDeletewow! great pictures. those old cars are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove a good antique car show! My husband and I have a 1969 Chevelle, which we proudly (loudly) drive around during the nicer months.
ReplyDeleteWas NOT expecting the skull!!!
