Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.
My husband is a big-time sports nut - football, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing etc. He's been to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York and the Football Hall of Fame, in Canton, Ohio -- without me (my choice), but he bugged me until I finally caved and recently accompanied him (with others) to the Basketball Hall of Fame, in Springfield, MA.
The men had a better time than the women, but believe it or not I got more baskets than anyone else during our free-throws -- impressive, I know:) It was actually more fun than I anticipated. Here are photos of my favorite captures there:
How do you like these hand dryers in the rest room?
Street Art (different variations of sneakers) all over
the city around the Basketball Hall of Fame.
This one was outside of the Hilton Hotel there.
Pretty realistic cardboard cutout of Larry Bird.
That looks like fun to me!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! A few years ago we visited The Mount (Edith Wharton's home) then continued on to the Basketball Hall of Fame - something for everyone that day, lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big sports fan but hubby is and on a trip up to Vermont some time back, we stopped off at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I just showed him your post and he said he would like to go to this one, and for good measure rattled off a few statistics. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI love sports, but I don't think I'd enjoy the halls of fame. Maybe I'm wrong since you liked it. Congrats on the free throw winning. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a place my family would have fun at! Nice pics, Diane.
ReplyDeleteThat is one big shoe and WOW, a Flat Bird!
ReplyDeleteWant a hand dryer like that here! What fun!!
ReplyDeleteHere is my Saturday Snapshot post!
Great looking hand dryer, very cool.
ReplyDeleteHa! We've driven by that museum at least a dozen times on our way down to NYC ... cool to get a closer look! It was divine justice that you should capture the free throw title ... a sweet little payback for stepping up and indulging your husband's sports museum urge. Glad you had some fun!
ReplyDeleteMy second son is such a fan of anything basketball...he would love this trip.
ReplyDeleteHe is, in fact, on a sports-related trip with his kids, featured today in MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
That shoe is truly fantastique!
ReplyDeleteAt least you got some great photos so the trip wasn't totally a loss. Kudos to you for beating your husband!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of any trip whatsover. We are workaholics and we never ever go anywhere. Come see my snapshot for today.
ReplyDeleteLove the shoe street art! I could have stayed interested for an hour or so. :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes trips turn out more fun than you expect. My husband wanted to go to the Harley Davidson museum in Milwaukee. I figured it would be just a bunch of old motorcycles. But no, it was way more than that with lots of interesting history.
I wouldn't be into the sports places either, but I could see how it would be fun regardless.
ReplyDeletelol, good old Larry Bird... I actually think that would be a fun excursion, random for me, but still fun. Way to go on the free-throws, I am not talented at any sport involving the word "ball", so kudos! Thanks for sharing your photos-- Book Savvy Babe
ReplyDeleteLove the big sneaker. Seems that the "thing" in communities lately. We had decorated horses and ponies a few years ago and some still "live" here. A nearby community has decorated buffaloes ( American Bison). They are really cool too.
ReplyDeleteGosh, there's obviously a whole culture surrounding basketball.
ReplyDeleteCool photos! Thanks for sharing!

Those art shoes are great. Not a b-ball fan but it looks like a fun outing anyway.
ReplyDeletecongrats on scoring the most free throws! glad you had more fun there than expected.
ReplyDeleteThe big shoes are a great way to advertise that your town is home to the Basketball Hall of Fame! I love football and baseball and have been to the Football Hall of Fame in Canton but have yet to make it to Cooperstown. It's always terrific when you have a great time doing something you didn't think you would like. Life's little surprises!
ReplyDeleteRobin
Glad you had fun! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning the free throws. Very nice pothos.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou must have been a great player some time ago... ;) Way to go, Diane. These are most interesting shots. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'd take a picture of that hand dryer too! Not that I'm likely to wander in to the basketball hall of fame....
ReplyDeleteThe hand dryer is so very cool!! I love that sneaker....
ReplyDeleteI am very very impressed that you got more baskets than anyone else!
