The Grave
"Have you ever wondered how long it takes to dig a grave? Wonder no longer. It takes an age. However long you think it takes, double that."
What do you think"? (I just started this and read over 100 pages in a blink of an eye - very addictive story)
Yes, I can see how this would be something very addictive. I never thought about how long it would take to dig a grave. Happily, it's not something I've had to personally do. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI've only dug a pet's grave, not difficult but, certainly not a happy time.
DeleteSounds like the beginning of a good thriller.
ReplyDeleteThis was one I couldn't wait to get back to, very good.
DeleteGreat opening! I'd definitely read on!
ReplyDeleteI loved the intro as well.
DeleteFor sure a good opening. Reading 100 pages in a blink bodes well too.

ReplyDeleteIf the tone of the opening continues I can see how it could be a quick read. Susan shares a book from the Great American Reads list at Girl Who Reads
ReplyDeleteI finished this already as it just made me obsessed to find out more.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was a great opener as well.
DeleteDark but good.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great intro...The fact that you read about 100 pages in the blink of an eye is a sign to the power of the story. Looking forward to your review. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh I like that beginning and that it pulled you in enough that you flew through 100 pages without realizing it!
