Saturday Snapshot - August 11, 2012

Saturday Snapshot

Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.

Couldn't resist snapping a few photos when we saw these on one of our trips:

Now these have distinct style don't you think?

Look what was in the trunk of the blue car? LOL

  1. Do you think we'll find class in the cars of today when we look back in 50 years? They just don't have the same style, do they? Here's Mine

  2. We tried to go to an old car show last night but I obviously got the location wrong. Boo hoo. I love to see the old cars from the 40's - such style and character.

BTW, your new header pic is fabulous! Hope you're enjoying being semi-unplugged this summer. Hard to believe it's almost over.

  3. Love the colors of the cars! My first car looked something like the top one - only not such an interesting color.

  4. I love the way the hood opens on the blue car. I hope that skeleton head is fake!

  6. That first one would make a very cool Batmobile.

  7. Classic cars that are well maintained are so beautiful, aren't they? We have quite a few in out town, which is fun

  8. Those cars do take me back...I remember the summer and fall that I drove around in my 1957 Chevrolet...until we traded it in for something newer.

Years later, I was kicking myself.

Thanks for sharing, and here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST

  14. I remember cars with fins from when I was a little girl! I loved those big things, especially when my father would take us for a "Jammy Ride" (in our pajamas to get ice cream). Eating in the car? How special was that!

  17. Was the skull the last owner? The old cars can be mystery novels.

  18. Love these old cars! We have a lot of car shows around here and it seems that many people like to have one or two of their own. You may have dug a little too deep in that one trunk though! :D
    Great photos!

  20. That's a show of cars my husband would appreciate, except for the skull. I wouldn't like it either.
Was there a car rally nearby?

  21. Ahhh, they just don't make cars like that any more. These ones had actual metal in them!
    Gorgeous.

  23. Summer just isn't summer without a car show thrown in♫♪

  24. I haven't been to a classic car show in a while. The skull in the trunk isn't too bad. I was at one show where the guy had a snake in the car... a real live huge snake!

  29. That skull is an interesting idea. Good sense of humor! Great cars. My father owned a Pontiac garage, and those babies were all about style! And the colors! Very few colors on the road today.
