Do you keep a movie list? Are any of these favorites of yours as well?
That's a lot of movies. We never thought of keeping a movie list. No wonder we can't remember many of them. Happy New Year from all of us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian. This is the first year I kept a movie list. Happy New Year to all of you.
DeleteI am not a movie fan but that is an interesting list
ReplyDeleteI really like reading more but, focus was an issue this year.
DeleteAt the end of every year I think I should keep a movie list and then I always fail to do it. Maybe 2018! My mom and I go to the movies quite a bit, so I feel like I'd end up with a pretty decent list.
ReplyDeleteGifted, Hidden Figures, and St. Vincent are some of my recent favorites, too. Watching Elf is practically a holiday tradition for me at this point. Excellent list! :)
Megan, Glad you liked some of my favorite movies. That ending on St. Vincent gets me overtime. (saw it 4-5 times. Happy New Year
DeleteI enjoy movies. I don't know why we don't take more time to watch them. I think I will make more movies as one of my resolutions this year!
ReplyDeleteThis year it was easier to watch a movie than read a book at times.
DeleteI used to be a movie fan but books have surpassed to the point that I rarely see one anymore. There are a few on my list though, one being Darkest Hour. Thanks for sharing your favs!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to watch a lot of the old B/W movies this year on the Turner Channel. Happy New Year Mary.
DeleteThanks Vicki. I hope the New Year is a good one for you too.
ReplyDeleteWow! You've seen a lot of great movies this year! I really haven't gone to the theater that much this past year except for a handful of children's movies and the newest Star Wars but I've tried to get better about watching movies at home.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched a full Star Wars episode or movie LOL
DeleteKeeping a movie list is a great idea. Whenever As Good As It Gets is on TV, I will always stop and watch it. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteAnything Jack Nicholson's in is a good movie IMO:)
DeleteHappy New Year, Diane! Thank you for sharing your list of movies. We haven't watched a lot of movies but we definitely watch a lot of international crime dramas. Will take note of some of these as I need to catch up on films!
ReplyDeleteWhen you mentioned international crime dramas, I thought about how much my husband likes, Locked Up Abroad - I've watched it too but, I'm not as into it.
DeleteI love it when I read someone else's list and it bring back good memories for me. Your list made me smile. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the list Helen - Hope 2018 is great for you.
DeleteSomehow I watched more movies than I read books this year! We have many favorites in common. Happy New Year. There are for sure many great movies coming up!
ReplyDeleteJudy, for me, after the election, movies were easier to focus on than books but, I'm getting back to reading!
DeleteHappy New Year, Diane! I've seen a handful of these movies, including Elf (hilarious) and Wonder (excellent), most recently.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked Elf and Wonder as well - both different but, so good.
DeleteI think I need to start keeping a movie list just so I remember to watch them more. I do enjoy movies but my viewing has definitely been down this last year.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to do that for years and never did until 2017 - I've started one for 2018 as well and off to a good start so far.
DeleteI'm afraid the election had the same negative effect on my concentration and reading, and blogging too. Baby steps...trying to find the magic again. I see several movies on your list that I want to see, especially Wind River. Happy New Year, Diane!
ReplyDeleteDiana, Wind River is a great movie; I hope you see it.
DeleteEnjoyed your list. You might enjoy these two gems: My Life As A Dog (a Swedish coming-of-age film), and Pieces of April. Both of these made my sides split. They are also both poignant.
ReplyDeletePieces of April was a great movie as well.
DeleteIs Something's Gotta Give the one with Diane Keaton's great house/kitchen? I actually wrote about Rev. Road a long time ago on ye olde blogge. Here, if you want to read it. At the time, I was quite pleased with the blog entry. haha.

And I adore The Bishop's Wife. I own the movie and often watch in December. I also wrote about it on the blog. https://lettersfromahillfarm.blogspot.com/2007/12/christmas-moviethe-bishops-wife.html
Yes, Something's Gotta Give has the "fabulous kitchen" and Jack Nicholson dating Diane Keaton's daughter at the beginning:) I also have The Bishop's Wife on DVD.
