Happy 4th of July America
I'm hoping all of you who celebrate the 4th of July have an extra long holiday weekend. Enjoy the weather, cookouts, and time with family and friends. If you are spending it alone then I hope yo get some reading time in with an excellent book.
I have finally recovered from the stomach flu as has the hub, but I did miss (2) days of work (Mon and Tues) as a result. It really took me most of the week to recover....UGH ...Well, on the positive side, it did help me to lose (3) more lbs so that makes 7.5.
The weather here is sunny, but hot hot hot, and that will continue all through the coming week as well. Saturday wasn't too bad so we got in a walk and read on the deck, but now the windows are closed and the AC blasting. It is a good excuse to relax and read and work on a few projects.
As for reading progress, I posted my mid-year stats a few days ago, here is the link in case you missed it and are interested. I have so many books I want to read right now, but currently, I'm finishing up:
- The Sisters of Hardscrabble Bay; Beverly Jensen (very good)
- America, America; Ethan Canin (audio)
- Worst Case; James Patterson (audio)
What are you up to the weekend? Whatever it is, stay safe and cool.
