Hi Diane,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great selection and so many different genres. All are new authors to me.
I guess the only two I wouldn't really be too interested in are;'The House Of Velvet And Glass' and 'A Walk Across The Sun'.
The others are definitely going onto my reading list and I hope that you enjoy them all.
Yvonne
I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I would pick up a lot of these because I love the covers.
ReplyDeleteThe House of Velvet and Glass has a gorgeous cover. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your haul!
ReplyDeleteWonderful mailbox! I'm not familiar with any of these titles.
ReplyDeleteThe House of Velvet and Glass sounds good and I want to read Defending Jacob. I'm going to be reading The Good Father which sounds like it has a similar plot.
ReplyDeleteI must say those five books are quite diverse! I'm particularly intrigued by The Receptionist! I love that the cover immediately evokes The New Yorker. Defending Jacob has been getting amazing press too, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYours is another mailbox with Katherine Howe's latest book. I'm jealous :-) Can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all your new books.
I was reading about Defending Jacob in Sunday's paper and it sounded good. I am jealous of the Howe book!
ReplyDeleteThese are all new to me! Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteI think they all look good, Diane. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe House of Velvet and Glass got my attention. I'm curious now! Very nice set of books!
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading "Come to the Edge" by Christina Haag about her love affair with John F. Kennedy, Jr. It's some of the most exquisite writing I've ever read and gives insight in the man I watched grow from a child that allowed me to finally understand why he was piloting that plane that day. The book is absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh … I heard Defending Jacob is good.
ReplyDeleteDefending Jacob does sound good. Happy reading!
