Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. February's host is Kim of Metroreader.
Did you get some new books last week? Here's what I received:
- Three Weeks in December; Audrey Schulman (purchase based on great reviews)
- The Beginner's Goodbye; Anne Tyler (Amazon Vine)
- The Year of the Gadfly; Jennifer Miller (Houghton Mifflin - thank you)
- Dirt; David Vann (Amazon Vine)
- A Wedding in Haiti; Julia Alverez (Algonquin books - thank you)
Three weeks in December - I think that also goes on to my list!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you think about Three Weeks in December. Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteThree Weeks in December has had wonderful reviews. Finding the time to read is my problem lately it seems:(
DeleteSome great books, I think! I also got a (digital) copy of Dirt. Have you read the other books by Vann? I loved them and I'm really looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteJudith, I have read Vann's debut novel and liked it a lot, even though it was a really dark story. Looking forward to this one as well.
DeleteI bet The Beginner's Goodbye is great! I hope you love all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I am drooling here...love Anne Tyler and that new book is definitely going on my list! I'm intrigued by Dirt, too. I'll be watching for your reviews.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog, and have a great week.
Dirt is something I could get in to!
ReplyDeleteAdding the Anne Tyler title to my wish list. Have a great week, Diane.

ReplyDeleteHi Diane,
ReplyDeleteA great eclectic mix of books this week, I wouldn't know where to start first.
Three of your selection have made it to my reading list, although a couple of them wouldn't really interest me, I don't think .... 'Three weeks in December', (although I do think that the cover is stunning) and 'A Wedding In Haiti'
I shall keep a look out for your thoughts about those two, who knows, I may be tempted ...
I hope that you enjoy them all and that you have a good week.
Yvonne
