Psycho joined our family almost (20) years ago. He was only about 5 weeks old when he was found at near a dumpster. He has lived with my son for the last (16) years. Psycho's slowed down a bit, lost weight, and lost his hearing, but he still acts much younger than his age. After a few days of hissing at the new addition, things are much better and the new (3) month old seems to be good company for the senior citizen while the humans are at work.
Oh, how adorable! They're both gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy own rescue cat died a couple weeks ago - he was only about a year old. We don't know what killed him but we miss him and his little bell every day.
Oh, so sorry about the loss of your cats:( how sad that he was so young as well.
DeleteThey are so cute, Diane. I would imagine the new kitty will keep Psycho on his toes ;-)
ReplyDeleteI had to grin at Psycho's name. ;-) I'm glad to hear the new kitty is a good companion to Psycho.
ReplyDeleteI love his name, Psycho!! Seniors need company for sure to keep them lively! I think they're both adorable!!
ReplyDeleteToo adorable cats! I'm partial to black and white ones since our cat Oreo was one of my faves. After his passing we never replaced him.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely little kitten cat - our ginger tom looked just like when we first had him, and he was very inquisitive, and got into all kinds of mischief - but he's grown into a great fat monster! My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/CQuKI
ReplyDeleteThey are both adorable! I love seeing beloved cats, as they always have had the best of care and feel part of the family. Great name, Psycho. There must be a story there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
"Psych" was so tiny when he was found and afraid of his shadow. As he became more comfortable, he was just very jumpy and the name seemed appropriate - he did calm down as he aged and turned out to be a sweet cat.
DeleteI love the looks on both their faces! The new addition has that playful, kitten look, and the older one has that...well...psycho, old cat, I'm set in my ways and how dare you challenge the status quo look :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear they're working things out!
20 years old is quite old for a feline and Psycho still looks terrific! The new addition to the family looks cute too. Does he have a name yet?
ReplyDeleteI think a little hissing was certainly called for, but glad to hear they're getting along now. The kitten is just adorable.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. What's the new addition called? They're both beautiful cats.
ReplyDelete"Chester" :) He was just named today I learned
Deleteaww, I am such a sucker for puppies and kittens :) Both cats are adorable, and I love psycho's fluffy black and white fur. Thanks for sharing, Book Savvy Babe
ReplyDeleteLove the orange tabby! Got any names in mind yet?
ReplyDeleteHere's my Snapshot.
I just got back from seeing him in person for the first time; He arrived last Saturday and his name is......CHESTER :)
DeleteOh I so wish I wasn't allergic to cats! They are adorable and such wonderful pets
ReplyDeleteI had cats for many years...I wish I had one now.
ReplyDeleteAwwww Psycho will probably feel younger with a little kit around!
ReplyDeleteI am a 'cat person'...I love their attitude and loyalty to their favored people ...I love having kittens around the house. I love their sense of play and their mad dashes and unlikely toys --- yours will have a time getting to know each other!
ReplyDeleteThey both look like sweet kitties! I can't believe how old Psycho is - I've never had a cat live that long. Great that he's still goes strong!
ReplyDeleteAww what sweet kitties. I'm glad there's peace in the house once again.
ReplyDeleteI love having a new kitten in the house. Glad the old one has adjusted too. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteWhat cute cats, and Psycho is a brilliant name.
ReplyDeleteAdorable kitties. The little one looks sweet, and I just love Psycho's name! It's great they get along!
ReplyDeleteGrandcats! They are too adorable!
ReplyDeleteAw...beautiful kitties!

The newest addition is adorable! I swear, I once did not appreciate kitties (I know!) and now I could own more than the two we have. Have my eyes been opened to the wonder of cats.
ReplyDeleteOh so cute! And I love the name Psycho for the elder.
ReplyDeleteSounds like they should switch names! HAHA! I'm sure it is huge adjustment but I'm sure they'll work it out.
ReplyDeleteCool pics. Cats are always lots of fun. Thanks for stopping by my post earlier.
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful Grandkitties!
ReplyDeleteCute kitties, I'm always amazed that two cat co-habitate without killing each other, especially and old one and a young one. Good luck,
ReplyDeleteBoth kitties are adorable! Glad they are getting along. Wish mine would.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE cats. I think I like them more than dogs, but sadly everyone in my family (besides me) is allergic. My husband even maintained weekly shots for me to have my sweet Olivia (my favorite cat).
ReplyDeleteI hope you are well - I'm hoping to find more time, or make more time to keep up with everyone. I did post twice this weekend!
And the reason he was called Psycho? Lol
ReplyDelete"Psycho" was so tiny when he was found and afraid of his shadow. As he became more comfortable, he was just very jumpy and the name seemed appropriate - he did calm down as he aged and turned out to be a sweet cat.
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable... both of them!
ReplyDeleteTwo very cute cats.
ReplyDeleteLove the newbie and Psycho. Sounds like Psycho has lived a full life and it's great he's accepted the little one into the fold.
ReplyDeleteTwo very cute kitties!
