Do you have your own summer reading list?
I have never had a list per se. Rather, I tend to read whatever comes in from my holds in the library, or somehow or other comes in the mailbox (which could, admittedly, be a result of my ordering it!)
ReplyDeleteWhat Was Mine is really good on audio. I only own a few of those books.
ReplyDeleteI am hearing lots of good things about The Fireman. Hope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of good ones on your list!
ReplyDeleteYou have some excellent picks on your list! I love Ann Patchett and have heard wonderful things about Delillo's latest. I'm reading ink and Bone now and just won a copy of The Weekenders from Bookrepoter.com. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteA few of these are on my list too. I started The Weekenders last night. The Fireman is high on my list, but I need to be in the right mood to commit to an 800+ page book. A review copy of The Commonwealth should be arriving any day now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your list. I'd like to read or listen to The Nest. It sound like a fun read. I loved What Was Mine. Have a great summer Diane!
ReplyDeleteTerrific list! Diane, I hope you will enjoy reading each of these this summer.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your list. I'm going to look them all up and see. Of course, I read the Nest, and loved it so much. Very satisfying entertainment, I will say. And I never miss an Ann Patchett novel. I should have a summer reading list, but I already don't feel serious enough to reread Dr. Zhivago. Maybe that will change, but the hot weather and nature bursting has me in a very flighty mood lately
ReplyDeleteLooks like some great picks, Diane! I've got Ink & Bone on my summer list. I hadn't heard of The Charmers yet, but it sounds like my kind of book too. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI do have a copy of the Margot Livesey book Mercury which I received at BEA. I look forward to that one. But I usually dont make a summer list per se. You have a good one!
ReplyDeleteNo list and no summer here of course. Nice list.
ReplyDeleteI really liked The Nest and The Weekenders. Leave Me is on my summer list.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot of goodies on your list. I see Ann Patchett, I like her writing.
ReplyDeleteThe Nest made my summer list too! And I can't wait to read Commonwealth!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a summer reading list, but I definitely plan to spend a lot of time reading, mainly books which conveniently catch my attention. I love looking at all of the books you've chosen.
ReplyDeleteI need to read The Fireman, and read it soon.
ReplyDeleteMercury and Blood and Ink are ones that catch my eye but all look good. I don't have a summer to read list, I tend to read what grabs my eye or I feel guilty about because I suddenly realise I've owned it forever!
ReplyDeleteThe Nest was wonderful - very entertaining! I'm really looking forward to Ann Patchett's new novel, too. Guess I should put a list together ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am interested in Commonwealth and The Nest, for starters. I like your list!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a challenge to read 20 of my own books over the summer so I have a list which looks a little different in make-up from the books I usually read - I'm looking forward to them all and as a bonus reduce the TBR to make more space!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great list. I can't wait to read The Nest! I've been trying to read at least one of my own books per week, but am trying to read two. So far it's been working well as I read so much more than before. When I go on holiday I want to read my own books and no review books and I have a really long list prepared for it.
ReplyDeleteYes to Commonwealth, for sure. I never miss a book by Ann Patchett!
ReplyDeleteAs an Ann Patchett fan, Commonwealth is on my list! I like the look of some of the others as well.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous list! I would definitely love to read Zero K, The Red House, The Nest, and Commonwealth!
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing some things here I hadn't seen before and need to go check out. Can't wait to read the new Patchett!
