I love having lunch in this same spot at work, a sunny nook, where I brown bag it. I read my book for one hour uninterrupted, on the days that I don't use the gym. So yesterday, I had company, and you know how I HATE the "pop-ins"!!! Thankfully, this one was on the outside of the window, but the chaise I was in was right up against the window (it had a red and black underbelly and was all black on the outside). Mind you this window is at least 30-40 feet up.
Photo was taken with my iPhone so this is pretty much actual size!
(as I mentioned the other day - bug hater here!)
This is the same ugly bugger, having his lunch too!
(He caught same great little insects in his web of silk)
Enjoy your long (3) day - Labor Day weekend US bloggers
Glad that it was outside your window! It can get scary. And yes, that is a great find for a Friday! I have bugs too!
ReplyDeleteOh my! That would have scared the bejeezus out of me! Thanks goodness that it was on the other side of the glass. I wonder if it was poisonous?
ReplyDeleteWe used to see webs like that outside our house in Auburn and we always loved watching the progress. I was glad they were outside, though.
ReplyDeleteLove the view except for the little visitor!
ReplyDeleteThat's even too big for me!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that is TOO big! Yuck!
ReplyDeleteYikes!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess Argiope or some type of orb weaver.

I got a great shot of one over at my Mom's. We had my Mom hold a water bottle next to it to show just how big it was.
I have arachnophobia, but it just causes me to be even more fascinated with them, and take constant pics!
Ugh... bugs freak me out. When I see one on my window, I knock on the door suddenly and abruptly, hoping it will fall out of shock or noise pollution. Sigh... never happens.
ReplyDeleteEwwww, it looks dangerous. Glad it was on the outside. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteIck--spiders! Both fascinating and repulsive. Charlotte never did convince me to think of them only as very useful creatures!
ReplyDeleteI HATE spiders!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Diane I'm with you I can't stand spiders!! That one was HUGE!!! Glad you were inside and not out with that ugly creature!
ReplyDeleteWith the exception of the spider, this looks like a lovely lunch destination!
ReplyDeleteMy brother has a serious fear of spiders :D
ReplyDeleteI don't like spiders...
ReplyDeleteHe's HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are one brave woman! If that THAT had been outside my window, I not only would NOT have taken a picture, I would not have been able to read by that window until I knew it was dead and gone. Ewww...
ReplyDeleteYikes!! But I still loathe crickets more!
