Small-time private investigator Ray Lovell veers between paralysis and delirium in a hospital bed. But before the accident that landed him there, he'd been hired to find Rose Janko, the wife of a charismatic son of a traveling Gypsy family, who went missing seven years earlier. Half Romany himself, Ray is well aware that he's been chosen more for his blood than his investigative skills. Still, he's surprised by the intense hostility he encounters from the Jankos, who haven't had an easy past. Touched by tragedy, they're either cursed or hiding a terrible secret-whose discovery Ray can't help suspecting is connected to Rose's disappearance.

    Wow, this one looks really different. I don't believe I've read any fiction dealing with gypsy culture, and the subject is very interesting to me. Definitely will add this to my list; too bad we have to wait till January.

    i've heard so much about stef penney's writing but i haven't read anything by her. this one sounds interesting though. i might just have to add it to my wish list.

    After the reading the summary I wonder, if it's going to be treated like a flashback on why he became paralyzed and delirious. The title is catching too. Lolz, before you know it, it's the Holidays and then it's January! A friend of mine said a radio station played a Christmas song. Hehehe Way too early or ppl are excited. :D
