Library Book Sales are so much fun.
9:30 am
10 am
11:30 a.m.
I've learned to be much more selective lately.
I could have bought so many more.
Yay for library book sales! You got some good books. I can't wait until our next library sale (about two weeks).
ReplyDeleteTime to do a little weeding in my own library -- which means I can contribute to the success of our library's sale in October! Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteI wondered where you were today. I like your choices, especially the Graham Greene. That Barbara Kingsolver was not my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have the time posted lol your skill at being selective has made you very efficient as well. You've got some great titles in there!
ReplyDeleteI love book sales!!

Oh, that looks like fun. I try to avoid those things, mainly because we're running out of room at an alarmin speed.
ReplyDeleteGreat sale! I bought Housekeeping a few months ago but haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
ReplyDeleteIt is so difficult to limit yourself at library sales. A good deal is hard to pass up. That is how my bookshelves became overflowing. Good job on being selective!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great selection, Diane! You did well to keep to the really good books. Have fun reading them!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you found lots of treasures! What a fun way to spend the morning.
ReplyDeleteLibrary book sales are the best! I'm sad because our local friends of the library aren't sure if they're going to be putting one on this fall or not. I certainly hope they do.
ReplyDeleteYou got some great finds!
Here's to more books!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I see some good ones...Margaret Drabble's The Needle's Eye and Housekeeping, by Marilynne Robinson. What fun!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I love library sales. I see some great looking books in that pile!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to spend an hour or two! Looks like you have some finds too!
ReplyDelete:)
I love library book sales but they're really dangerous! I always come home with way more books than I should have bought!
ReplyDeleteLibrary sales are definitely my weakness! You did a great job with self-control. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult not to get carried away at a sale like that, but so much better to have some control. Looks like you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures were beautiful!!! I am trying to learn how to be more selective but boy is it hard!
ReplyDeleteLibrary Book Sales are the best!!! Enjoy your purchases!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved this. Send some books my way!
ReplyDeleteHere is my Saturday Snapshot post!
Jealous!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed by your stack...and by the fact that you held back.
Library sales are always fun. A big one is coming up in two weeks, and I already have too many books. I'll have to force myself to be selective too!
ReplyDeleteThose tables of books look so inviting.
ReplyDeletecarol
Great haul, looks like a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteThere was a huge book sale at a venue I went to for a conference last month, unfortunately I didn't get to go. However, I have the next one marked in my diary!
Those are awesme books! I have Lacuna and Hedgehog for someday reading!
ReplyDeleteLibrary sales are always a good place to be. :-D
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got some GREAT books! I didn't much care for 'Hedgehog' but loved The Lacuna (what else, considering it's Kingsolver? lol)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
What a happy post!!
ReplyDeleteThe setting for your book sale looks just like Waterbury, CT's sale. When we lived there, I was active in the Friends of the Library and ran the book sale for a couple years until we moved. Hard to get volunteers but we raised lots of money to make up for what the city cut out of our budget.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is always to not buy more books than I donated. Success this year - I didn't go to the sale, forget why. :)
Oh I LOVE your picture of the books under the trees. It looks like such a pretty, balmy day where you live. Wonderful picture. I want to be there!
