Mailbox Monday ~ January 24th

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house during the previous week. Original host was Marcia at The Printed Page, but now on blog tour, with Rose City Reader is hosting during the month of January.

This week was rather embarrassing as (16) new books arrived, and the mail lady had to make several trips to our door when the packages did not fit in the mailbox. Here's my loot (all except 3 I had no clue were be sent to me, but I am very grateful to have received them).
  1. Silverlicious; Victoria Kahn (adorable children's book from Harper Collins)
  2. This Body of Death; Elizabeth George (Harper Collins)
  3. Supreme Justice; Phillip Margolin (Harper Collins)
  4. Death Echo; Elizabeth Lowell (Harper Collins)
  5. The Glass is Always Greener; Tamar Myers (Harper Collins)
  6. Money to Burn; James Grippando (Harper Collins)
  7. Sometimes I Feel Like a Nut; Jill Kargman (William Morrow)
  8. Left Neglected; Lisa Genova (wonderful Kay from My Random Acts of Reading)
  9. Foreign Bodies; Cynthia Ozick (paperback swap member)
  10. Call Me Irresistable; Susan Phillips (Harper Collins)
  11. The Metropolis Case; Matthew Galloway
  12. Piracy Today; John Payne (paperback swap member)
  13. Little Princes; Conor Grennan (Harper Collins)
  14. These Things Hidden; Heather Gudenkauf (MuscleMedia)
  15. Goodnight Tweetheart; Teresa Medeirios (Simon and Schuster)
  16. The Radleys; Matt Haig (Simon and Schuster)
Since January is turning out to be my slowest reading month ever in the last (8) years for a variety of reasons, I am not sure when I will get a chance to read all of these, but I'm hopeful I will get to most of them.

  9. wow, that's a pile of books! I'm actually reading more this month but it's only because I'm not running and can find time to read at the gym, at the end of the day etc... I was just telling my husband how nice it is to have my life back (not training).

So I'm off to read! Have a wonderful week.

  15. Wow! That's a major stack of books! Don't you wonder what the mailmen/women and UPS delivery people think of us book reviewers who get all these packages?! I am so jealous of your snagging a copy of Left Neglected! It's high on my wishlist, I've worked with patients with this condition and it's fascinating.

    *Oh there, found them*

Seriously - how many books is that? LOL! I've been doodling over that picture. How awesome! And some really exciting titles too! Enjoy them!

PS: Jan has been slow for me too - I guess it has to do with all the list-making and decision-making we do at this time of the year. And then the recovery from the holiday season.
