After nearly 9 years of blogging and posting (2 to 5 days a week), I'm feeling like I need a break. We had a few 90 degree days last week and, now, I'm ready for an early summer and looking forward to trying a few new things. I'll still be reading, of course, and I'll update my "Books Read in 2017" list here as well -- just no regular posts. Wishing you all a nice summer!

It's Beginning to Feel a lot like Summer
After nearly 9 years of blogging and posting (2 to 5 days a week), I'm feeling like I need a break. We had a few 90 degree days last week and, now, I'm ready for an early summer and looking forward to trying a few new things. Enjoy your break and have a fun summer with the family!
ReplyDeleteSummer is the perfect time to 'take a break'. Enjoy your summer, Diane!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful summer, Diane!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the summer, Diane!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the summer and the new things you're trying!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if I will feel that way after 9 years. I'm only 6 1/2 years in. I can see it happening, though.
ReplyDeleteI am right with you my friend! I began blogging in 2009 and the past few months I have been totally burned out. I was blogging a minimum (often) of 5 days a week (sometimes 6 and occasionally 7 and I have 2 blogs!) This week is the first time I only posted twice on Cody's. I soooo want to take a huge break myself...might have to do that. Enjoy your well-deserved time off! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful summer of reading, family, and fun! I took a break from regular posts (memes, etc) and felt much better when I didn't feel the pressure to post anything beyond reviews. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHave a great summer Diane!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the break, enjoy summer and your new books! I totally get you. I've been blogging about books off and on for over 6 years, and have reinvented myself with several different blogs along the way. But I always come back because chatting with other book lovers is irresistible :) 9 years is quite admirable. I'll be stopping by to see your updated book lists.
ReplyDeleteAh, I know the feeling! Have a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer break, Diane! I know the weather has been unseasonably warm back east lately. It's good to read without the pressure of posting reviews. (I've been away for a few days so I am getting to my blog visits late.) Anyway, Take as much time as you need to refresh your reading and blogging! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!! It was 100 degrees all this weekend so it certainly feels like summer here.
ReplyDeleteIf I took a break, I don't think I'd come back so I just post when I want to and leave it at that.
Summer and trying new things--a wonderful combination. I do hope you will enjoy the freedom of your break, that you'll thrill to your reading, and...just know that I, for one, will miss you.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Judith
Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy summer break! I thought I entered a comment, but I guess not. Here is another try.
ReplyDeleteMissed this post earlier - hope you are enjoying your break...sounds like you earned it! Emma
ReplyDeleteHave a nice summer...hope you have lots of fun and reading time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time away from blogging--happy reading--and looking forward to catching up when you rejoin us.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful break!
ReplyDeleteHave a great summer!
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by to say hello. Miss the meme. Have been trying to catch up.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm just beginning to jump back into blogging (well, at least reading & commenting!) after a long break. We've settled into our new home in Oregon and I'm beginning to feel like I have a routine. Retirement for my husband and myself has really changed the way my day flows, but I'm hoping to get back to the blogging. I may actually catch up on all your posts by the time you return! ;) Have a lovely summer, Diane! I hope it isn't too miserably hot the entire time! xo
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your well deserved break!
ReplyDeleteI have just returned to blogging and will catch up with you again, when you return from yours.
I think your blogging break is very much well deserved! I hope you are enjoying the time away and reading lots of great books!
