"Where does a mistake begin? Lately I've found this simple question difficult. Impossible, actually. A mistake has roots in both time and space--a person's reasoning and her whereabouts. Somewhere in the intersection of those two dimensions is the precisely bounded mistake--in nautical terms, its coordinates."
I haven't been able to focus on much reading lately but, I started this one last night and I'm enjoying it so far. Isn't the cover beautiful? What do you think about the intro?
I love it, and the excerpt is beautiful. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog. Stay safe and healthy!
ReplyDeleteMaybe, it's a bit weird but I do wonder why?
ReplyDeleteI like that excerpt. I'm having trouble focusing on anything, including reading, right now. Lots of wandering around the house.
ReplyDeleteSounds good and I absolutely love that cover!
ReplyDeleteKnopf is one of my favorite publishers. I am almost always happy with Knopf books. This sounds especially good.
ReplyDeleteThe cover is stunning and I do like that beginning. It has me wondering where the book is going to go.
ReplyDeleteI like the beginning. It sounds like it might be a profound read.
ReplyDeleteI like both the cover and the excerpt you shared here, and I'd keep reading this one.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I'm finding it difficult to concentrate on my reading right now, being more compelled to listen to all the apocalyptic new on television instead. All this reading time, and I can't read? Never expected that to happen.
That opening is so true! I hope the book continues to hold your attention.
ReplyDeleteI like the beginning and the cover is pretty! enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the cover is really pretty and unique. Will keep this one in mind. I'm just so excited that I started a new book today and am 20% into it. Yay!
ReplyDeleteMore than reading I seem to be always following the news, which is dismal and here with a complete curfew till the 6th of April, very bleak.
