    I too some photos of one recently but he would not open his feather, even though I waited and waited. Now maybe if a female bird had walked by....

  7. I get the feeling that peacocks must feel rather smug about their plumage. It's just so extravagant and impressive. This one is particularly pretty.

  8. We have friends who had white peacocks and pea hens, but they kept "running" away into the woods and eventually never returned (coyotes probably). Before they ran away for good we had some pea hen scrambled eggs. Have you ever seen a pea hen egg? They are pretty big and kind of pointy at one end and have enormous yolks--at least relative to a chicken egg.
