  3. I love the cover of An Uncommon Education--hope it's as good as it's cover :)

The cover of Calico Joe reminded me of my copy of Shoeless Joe by Kinsella--I need to find a baseball book for this spring, and I should probably play "Centerfield" in the car, per the annual rites of spring.

    Enjoy your books :)

  14. Hi Diane,

Some great finds this week, from a diverse range of genres.

'The Land Of Decoration' was the one that caught my eye. This sounds like it could be an emotionally annoying kind of book yet one which I am sure will captivate me.

I generally like John Grisham, although I haven't read any of his for ages and I am not too sure whether 'Calico Joe' will have too much reference to baseball in it, which would spoil it for me.

An interesting post and another couple added to the TBR mountain ... thanks!

    Have a good week,

    Yvonne

    1. Isn't it funny how books get distributed. I find it very unpredictable. I couldn't get my hands on Calico Joe, and then I got 2 copies....geezz

  19. I've been hearing a lot about AJ Jacobs latest book - I read The Year of Living Biblically - it was pretty funny.

And the Land of Decorations sounds good.

    Enjoy!
