Waiting on Wednesday - The Night Strangers; Chris Bohjalian

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating! Want to participate? Post your own WOW entry on your blog, and leave your link at Breaking the Spine. Here's my pick for this week:

The Night Strangers; Chris Bohjalian
(Crown - October 4, 2011)

I have no idea what this book is about, but I'm happy as a clam as it's by one of my favorite authors. I have read and enjoyed ALL of Chris Bohjalian's books, and will be anxiously awaiting this one.

Isn't the cover awesome? Could it be some kind of a ghost story? I can't wait to find out.

  14. Goodness. I have several of his books on the shelf and somehow have never managed to read one. I hope to soon. I also came across a hilarious editorial he wrote this week about the perfect literary crime (http://wapo.st/h0Th1c).

  16. I love the cover and will look out for this book. I usually am entranced by a cover to look inside to see if the book appears to be going to 'live up to its cover.

  20. I keep reading good things about this author so I can't figure out why I haven't read him before. If you say you like his writing, that is enough recommendation for me. It's going on the list.

  25. Ha-ha! "I have no idea what this book is about" ... I know exactly what you mean, when a favorite author has a new book coming, I'll jump in line without knowing a thing about it :)

  26. I haven't raved about all his books, but did enjoy them. I still have several more on my TBR shelves, too! What I have raved about is Bohjalian as a person. I had several email conversations with him a few years back and found him to be such a man of integrity. He has a gentle spirit and is very kind. I was really impressed at the time he took to "talk" with me and care about what I said. :)

  27. This does look good, cover alone. I did some searching for the synopsis but wasn't able to find it - it's a secret!
