October in Review - November Plans

I think fall is one of my favorite times of year to read. The cooler weather always makes me look forward to some mystery and thriller books, a cup of hot tea and a fluffy comforter and cat on my lap.

  1. You read a lot of books in October; some good, some not so, but a good amount overall. I've read great things about Where the Crawdads Sing; I hope you enjoyed it. Everyone seems to have loved it. It seems that your November is packed as well. Happy reading and movie watching! :-)

  3. The November plans look good! I know what you mean about cooler weather making cozy reading appealing. Now if we can just get the cooler weather here in southern California. I'd like to put on a sweater for goodness sakes!

  6. You did have a good reading month, Diane! I've got the Crawdad book and also Unsheltered on audio for upcoming months. Look forward to both of them. A Mary Stewart book in your plans - I've loved her books for years. Have you picked one to try or do you need suggestions? They are vintage now I guess (does that mean we are vintage? ha!), but I love some of her settings.

  11. Wow, 15 books is excellent! I totally agree about autumn being a lovely time for snuggling up in your favourite chair and reading.

I was thinking of a reread of Anne of Green Gables for my Canadian challenge and then maybe reading a few more in the series. Have a good November!

  12. Hi Diane,
You read so many diverse and fascinating books--I'm in awe, truly. What a fascinating month you had! I have started listening to In Pieces as an audiobook. It's fascinating, but so sad, yet with a depth that's very satisfying.
I wonder what you'll choose for your book by Mary Stewart. I've read so many that now I'm just beginning to reread a few. Nine Coaches Waiting was probably one of my all-time favorites. But the trilogy about King Arthur--The Crystal Cave, The Hollow Hills, etc. were spectacular. Enjoy!!
