Tuesday Teasers

Tuesday Teasers is hosted by Should Be Reading.

asks you to:
  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!
My teasers are from my current read :

The Seance; John Harwood
p23.........."At half past six the following evening, therefore I let myself out of the house, telling Mama that I had a headache and needed to walk. She had sunk further toward her old blank misery, but I did not want to risk another summoning until I had seen how Mrs. Veasey conducted a seance".

This book has hooked me from the very first page. This is John Harwood's second novel. I loved his first book: The Ghost Writer when I read it a few years ago. Now I'm off to search for your Tuesday Teasers.

  1. I loved this author's first book and am looking forward to reading this one too.

  2. Hi, fellow bibliophile! Great blog. I've just launched my own books blog at http://tarquintarsbookcase.blogspot.com/ and I welcome comments from other lovers of old, rare, or just plain odd books.

  3. I haven't heard of this book or author before, but it's a great teaser.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and double thanks for any comments. If you ask a question in your comments, I will try to reply to it here, or by email if your settings allow me to do so. Thank again for visiting.
