ReplyDeleteWhat a great mailbox! Lots of good stuff in there. I am also looking forward to The Marriage Plot and Immortal Bird.
ReplyDeleteI have the hardcover for The Marriage Plot to but I think I'm going to listen. This is the first choice for my new neighborhood book club and one of the gals is not enjoying it, at all. Since I picked it... I'm hoping it's just her.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Quite a haul! I still think you need a bigger mailbox!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading. What a great mixed mail box.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great group of books! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteOoooDiane, you received some terrific books this week...The Marriage Plot interests me the most!
ReplyDeleteI've seen The Time in Between on several blogs and The Girl on the Cliff looks interesting.
Treasure Island, a Europs book that's great! and Immortal Bird sounds good, too.
Enjoy them all, Diane!
I have a copy of Model on my bookshelves from when it first came out. It's a really interesting book - so much so that I've read it a couple of times. It sits next to A Thing of Beauty another great modelish book. I recommend both highly.
ReplyDeleteGreat haul this week, Diane. I got The Time in Between a while back but haven't started it yet. It sounds very promising however. Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteI got The Time in Between too, it looks like it is going to be a great read.
ReplyDeleteI got The Time in Between, too. Can't wait to see what you think of it!
ReplyDeleteYou got a great assortment of books! I have the audio for The Marriage Plot and wasn't all that excited about it until everyone raved about Jeffrey Eugenides. Now I am looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome books. I dying to read The Marriage Plot. I loved Middlesex. I'm keeping my fingers crossed a copy of The Time Between is on it's way to me.
ReplyDeleteAnother great post, thanks so much for visiting while I was gone. I am back for a couple of days but we have a family member in hospital after major surgery, so we will be coming and going for a while. I've enjoyed looking in and catching up today.
ReplyDeleteA nice mix in your mailbox, enjoy!

You have The Marriage Plot! I'm jealous! :P
ReplyDeleteDiane, I have not read any of these, but I've read about them recently. Enjoy your bounty!
ReplyDeleteI am patiently (or not) waiting for Julie Klaasen's first three books to arrive. Looks like your mailbox is kinder than mine is right now!
ReplyDeleteI have been seeing The Time in Between around. It sounds like a good one and I really enjoy the cover.
ReplyDeleteOoh, you got The Marriage Plot. Lucky duck!
ReplyDeleteOh, I see a few there that I'm putting on my TBR list. I hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteLoved Middlesex by Eugenides and am wondering how The Marriage Plot will stack up to that one. Bright and Distant Shores caught my attention on Goodreads because of the Chicago setting. A Historical Fiction novel set in one of my fave cities-sounds right up my alley. Enjoy all your books!
ReplyDeleteI think The Girl on the Cliff sounds and looks great!!! Enjoy all your wonderful books!
ReplyDeleteI am most envious of The Marriage lot but the Europa is a lose second. Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading Time in Between and Immortal Bird! The other titles sound fabulous too!
ReplyDeleteThe Time in Between seems to be the book of the week! I have seen it everywhere today!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you think of The Marriage Plot. I'm on the fence about it … even though I loved Middlesex.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteYou got a great variety of books this week! I have the Time in Between so I am looking forward to comparing notes with you!
ReplyDeleteAll of these titles look so good! I need to get back in a good reading groove. Since school has been back in session, I just can't seem to balance teaching/planning/grading, and reading, too. Maybe some of these books will get me back in the swing of things.
ReplyDeleteI have started Immortal Bird and it is quite a special book. My heart however is sad while reading it so I put it down for a bit. I received of few of those too and am looking forward to them!
ReplyDeleteGreat books! I hope you enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteNice selection! I also received The Time in Between. The Marriage Plot is one I hope to read and the others are new titles to me.
ReplyDeleteLooks like some good ones. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous you gotthe marriage plot!! Hope you enjoy the great books you got this week.
ReplyDeleteI really want to read The Marriage Plot - keep hearing good reviews of it! Believe it or not, I still haven't read Middlesex!
