Steve Jobs; Walter Isaacson
I decided to splurge for the Kindle Edition when this book was released yesterday. I'm very interested since Jobs authorized this one. Like Jobs, both my mom and a brother lost their battle with pancreatic cancer.
Anyone else as fascinated by this man as me? Do you plan to read his autobiography?
Same here, I'm very interested in reading this book, especially since it was authorized. I watched the 60 Minutes interview with the author and it seems like it will be a very enlightening book.
ReplyDeleteI am a bit a Mac addict and love Mac products and yes I am looking forward to reading this book (I am borrowing the book from the library).
ReplyDeleteI will go on the list at the library for this one. I'll look for your review :)
ReplyDeleteThis does seem like an interesting book. I'll be watching for your reactions, Diane.
ReplyDeleteI heard an spotlight on this book yesterday, sounds like he took the gloves off.
ReplyDeleteI don't plan to read this one, in less someone tells me it's a must read. Can't wait to read your review!
I went to an event at a bookstore last night and planned to buy this while I was there, but they'd sold out.
ReplyDeleteI would love to read this biography. I think I'll wait until the hype dies down a bit (and the price lol!), but I am interested to learn about the man behind Apple's success. I read an interesting article the other day, detailing how this biography could be the end of Google/Android and I'm interested to find out how!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my WoW here!
What a story this will be! I don't have it yet, but I'm sure I will read it at some point.
ReplyDeleteHope you love it!
Here's MY WOW POST and
MY WEBSITE
My husband pre-ordered this one and has already started it. He is regaling me with information from Jobs' life around the dinner table at night. I hope that you love it!
ReplyDeleteI ordered this book with the intention of giving it to my husband for Christmas. I guess I have to wait until he reads it first!
ReplyDeleteI had not planned to read it but when I picked up 1Q84 yesterday, The Boy said he would like the book for Christmas, plus it was like 40% off with my member card, so I bought it. I'll read it after him.
ReplyDeleteI watched the 60 Minutes interview and am intrigued enough to read it as well.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, enjoy!

There are so many people taking about this book and author interviews that I feel as if I have already read it. Maybe in time, but for now, I do not think I will be picking it up. I do look forward to hearing your take on it.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful character, that guy! I love all my apple products.

Yes, I'm interested! I read Isaacson's bio of Einstein last year, and he did an impressive job.
ReplyDeleteWhat a genius...I'm equally fascinated by him. This is a must-read for me.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't really interested until I read the article in Time magazine. But after that I was intrigued...he sounds like he had quite a few interesting ideas, beyond Apple.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is very fascinated with him! I will have to get it from the library for him!
ReplyDeleteso sad! I feel so bad for his wife and kids :(
ReplyDeleteI am a follower here! hope you'll stop by my blog and follow me, and let me know what you think of my WOW post! :)

Oh yes! I'm very fascinated with him. I have watched and read everything I have come across. I will get this book eventually.
ReplyDeleteYes,I can't wait to read this biography too!
ReplyDeletePS: I'm so sorry that your family has been affected by this terrible cancer.
I do plan to get my hands on a copy of this. I have just recently become a fan of biographies and he sounds like a fascinating person.
ReplyDeleteI think the timing of the release of the book is unfortunate. If Mr. Jobs had approved this one, I assume the pub. date was set long ago, but having it come out so soon after his death makes it look like the publisher was sitting around with the book in the closet, just waiting to add the date of death before it went to print. Seems tacky to me - but it probably won't stop me from reading it.
