Saturday Snapshots - July 20, 2013

A big thanks to Alyce of At Home With Books, who has hosted this meme for a number of years. She is taking a summer hiatus at her blog. Our new host is Melinda at West Metro Mommy Reads.

To participate, simply post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on West Metro Mommy's blog.

Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

Not sure how these followers survived the
high 90 degree temps of the past 2 weeks.
fortunately, low 80's predicted staring tomorrow

 anxious for fall already

  3. Lovely lilies! Mine have to be in pots as the bunnies love them and will eat them as soon as the leaves show in the spring!

  4. It's been an odd summer, weather wise, hasn't it? We are usually the ones who are languishing at this time of year, but it's been surprisingly cool along the Gulf Coast.

Here's my Saturday Snapshot, a visit to Blue Willow Books to hear children's picture book author and illustrator, John Rocco.

  5. Your flowers fared better than mine with all the heat... looking forward to cooler temps tomorrow!

  6. Beautiful shots! I thought the warmer the weather, the more profuse flowers will be. But I'm sure there must be a limit. Glad your garden is bearing the heat.

  10. We are experiencing that kind of weather as well in Minnesota. Today is overcast and cooler. What are the flowers in the top pic? They are gorgeous!

  11. Beautiful, and hardy flowers. I've certainly been wilting in the heat. Looking forward to the front going through today and cooler nights for the next week. When Dave and I start wishing we had A/C, it's too hot!

  12. Not sure how they survive the heat either, but they are lovely, not so anxious for fall though. Thanks.

  13. Pretty lilies. My flowers have been tolerating the heat too. 90s is ok for mine as long as they get plenty of water. Last year when it hit 100 for days the poor things got sunburned and crisped up.

  21. The flowers are beautiful. We've been getting hot weather but then it's mixed with lots of rain too so things are growing quite well. I don't want fall yet because that brings winter too close for comfort but cooler temps are ok by me too.

  22. I am glad they are surviving the summer heat. They are quite lovely. We have had heat and/or tons of rain. And isn't the summer flying by?
