June Reading Wrap Up ~ Mid Year Progress and Top Picks


June was a beautiful month, weather-wise and a great reading month as well. We're now half' way through 2016, so I thought I'd pick a few of my favorites read in 2016.  Do you have a few favorites?

  4. I've wanted to read The Nest and Fates and Furies, the later of which I own. The only one from your list I've read is The Stranger, which I actually liked, but I think that was in part because of all the heavy reading I'd been doing for the Man Booker International Prize. I can hardly believe you've been blogging eight years! Don't they go by fast? And while sometimes it's almost an anchor round my neck, I can't imagine giving up the book chats and blogging friends such as yourself.

    1. The 8 years have flown by and, I've often thought about stopping but, I know I'd miss the blog if I did -- of course I would still reads the blogs of others like yours special blog.

  10. Diane, I'm so glad you're still blogging - congratulations!

    This year, I discovered Donald E. Westlake's Dortmunder capers. They are a hilarious series of "crime" escapades. Not serious reading, but there you have it.

  15. You had a wonderful reading month, Diane. I'm reading the Fireman for a read-along this month. I am not too far into it, but enjoying it so far. I am eager to read The Woman in Cabin 10, even though I'm not quite done with In a Dark, Dark Wood. It's so good!

    Congratulations on your blogiversary, Diane! Eight years is amazing. I am so glad to know you and to be able to share our love of reading with each other. I have enjoyed getting to know you over the years.
