Library Loot - March 13, 2010

Well I still have not licked my library addiction.  I did finish one library book this week and copied another audio book onto my IPOD, so I consider it a successful "library week".

The book I read was excellent : The Wife's Tale; Lori Lansens.  (I still need to review it). Kathy recommended this book and I am so happy she did. You can read Kathy's review: HERE.

Here is what my stack looks like this week:

  2. Diane, do you recommend listening to it? I don't often do that but would if you think it's a good way to go.

  3. Successful library week! LOL!! I would so love to have one of those too. I've now been renewing my library books for the third time straight. I promised myself that I will finish at least 2 this weekend! ;)

  4. Mary....Wife's Tale was the print version, not the audio book, so I can't comment. The book I copied onto my IPOD was The Children's Book; A.S. Byatt.

I am not sure this will show up as a link and do not know how to create one. Diane, please e-mail me some help!

PS - I did abandon The Elephant Keeper. Just got too draggy and too weird for me.

Mari... I have not read The Girls, Lansen, but I really want to after loving The Wife's Tale so much!

  9. What great library loot Diane! The Wife's Tale and House Rules are on my wishlist. It looks like I'll be getting my son's ipod and I'll need to figure out how to download library audiobooks onto it...is it easy? I like how you featured your loot on a goodreads shelf...another feature I am unfamiliar with.

  10. Bonnie....I will write down the process for both and email you afterward. Not sure if I'll get to it this weekend though.

  11. I have tried and tried to get into The Wife's Tale, but to no avail. however after reading your thoughts (and some of your commentors) I'm going to give it another go. Great library loot! I love getting stuff from the library, but sometimes when something I've had on hold forever comes up, I realize I may not have time to read it! ACK! I have Barbara Kingsolvers The Lucana on my nightstand and it has to be back in a week and I can't renew it! Yikes!

Excellent loot! I don't dare go to the library right now--I have too many books already waiting to be read!

  16. Nice haul. I love the library. I actually stayed away today; shocking I know! I glanced at my TBR pile yesterday and sighed. I really need to stick to it for a while.
    Enjoy your books.
