  1. I really liked We Have Always Lived at the Castle; I read it as a pre-Halloween treat. Not exactly scary, but a bit creepy.

  5. I haven't received any books in the mail in a few weeks, so I haven't been posting.

    Your list sounds wonderful. Enjoy!

  6. Oh I like the North American cover of The Glass Room a LOT! One of my favourites of the year, as was We Have Always Lived in the Castle and I also enjoyed Loitering with Intent. Enjoy!

  7. I definitely want the last two. I keep toying with the idea of adding them to my Christmas list.

I hope you are OK, I know you have had a rough week.

  9. I almost bought We Have Always Lived in a Castle last week, and I am ashamed to say I put it back because it looked so long!

  10. What a lovely display of books! And displayed on a beautiful chair, too! LOL.

I also like to photograph my books, such as they are.

I don't get review copies from publishers, etc. Just Vine reads and contests and books I buy.

    This week, mine was here:

  11. You had a good week. I have 9 Dragons on my TBR pile. I will probably read it over the xmas holidays.

    Happy reading

  12. Looking forward to your thoughts on the Jackson - I didn't love it as much as some have, but it was definitely a fun read!

And I really want to get a copy of the Glass Room... I guess this means it's been released in the U.S. now?

  13. I almost posted Mailbox Monday on Tuesday!

I'll be most interested to hear your thoughts on Loitering with Intent. I've read two other books by Muriel Spark, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and The Comforters.

  14. I'm reading Under the Dome and it's the Stephen King of old--I can't put it down. It is pure escapist reading . . .

  15. I'm curious to see what everyone thinks of The Dome. I have an aversion to Stephen King books (because they creep me out) but if it wasn't too creepy I'd be willing to give it a try.
