A sweet, charming December story that you know is destined to have a happy ending.
Emma is 33 and hasn't had much luck in finding that perfect mate that she'd want to spend the rest of her life with. After a recent breakup with boyfriend Scott, she finds herself in a NYC pawn shop trying to sell the bracelet her last boyfriend had given to her. She notices a watch that looks very familiar to her and it's engraved. It turns out that it is the watch that Emma had given to Fletcher, the only man she really ever cared about. She hasn't seen him since after college when he left for a job in London and she stayed in back in the states.
When Emma's friend, Bronwyn, who believes in fate, intervenes, she comes up with a plan. She finds out through social media more about Fletcher's whereabouts. It seems that Emma will be spending time at a charming Vermont Inn over Christmas in the hopes that the two might reconnect.
A feel-good Christmas novel about second chances and lost connections.
That book sounds good but the blogging problems are not. We have a Mac and we use Firefox for everything, Safari goes wonky too much.
ReplyDeleteThe book sounds quite charming and perfect for the season. I use Safari on my iPad and iPhone and have had no problems there, but I do most of my blogging and blog commenting on my Mac and here I do use Google Chrome. I've never had a problem with it.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you don't stop blogging since I have gotten so many great book recommendations from you! I use Chrome and haven't had any issues other than with one blogger. For some reason, her comments never show up in my email inbox for moderation. I try to remember to check on blogger and usually catch her comments before too many days have passed. It can be a little annoying, but I'm used to it now.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your blogging problems. It seems to me that so many are having issues of one kind or another these days. Some people have emailed me to say that they read my blog, but aren't able to comment. Sigh. Tiresome for them and not much I can do about it. I do understand though. I'd miss your reading 'voice' if you decided to not continue. However, as an on-again-off-again blogger myself I feel your pain. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI get where you're coming from with the blogging problems - after a certain point, it seems like too much trouble to change the way we do what we do. I'll miss your blog if you decide to quit, though, because I think we have similar taste in books.
ReplyDeleteI had the same trouble with a conflict between Blogger and Safari. It's frustrating. I googled the problem and tried several of the recommended solutions. Something worked, but I can't remember what.
ReplyDeleteWhatever happens, I hope you don't leave blogging!
This sounds sweet! Don't leave blogging! Blogger is a Google product so will definitely work better with Chrome. I now exclusively use Chrome and have no problems.
ReplyDeleteBlogging problems are a pain, I have had many people tell me that they can no longer comment on my blog. I have not had any problems commenting on other peoples'. I cannot wait to read this book. Please do not quit blogging!
ReplyDeleteThis is happening to me, too, Diane! I use a Mac and can't respond to or leave comments on Safari, which I use all the time! Now I have to open Chrome if I want to do something with blogger - so frustrating! I've never tried Firefox, but my daughter uses it. Maybe I'll experiment with that...
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't stop blogging. Our reading tastes are often similar and I always appreciate your reviews and recommendations. I'm working on my favorites list today and am shocked by how much our lists overlap!
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear of the blogging woes. I hope you're able to find an easy solution! As for the book, sounds like a cute story perfect for the season!
ReplyDeleteI had exactly the same thing happen to me when I downloaded the lates operating system to my MacBook Pro a couple of weeks ago. I was in a real panic until I figured out that Chrome would allow me to maintain and update my blog. Isn't it ironic that the problem is with Apple's own browser, Safari, and not with Chrome? I still can't get logged in properly to WordPress sites, though, so can't comment on those sites I use to always comment on. All very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the blogging problems - it really does make one wish for the good ol' days when blogging was quick and easy. I rarely leave comments on blogger blogs because I think Google gets in the way and leaving comments anywhere BUT a wordpress blog is so difficult. (so a BIG thank you for having a Name/URL option.) Also, I can't find where to go look for responses to comments so don't worry about THAT! Unless a specific question is asked, I don't even ever expect an answer, really. Wishing you a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteBoo for the blogging woes! I hope they can be resolved so your blogging continues without another hitch :) I second what Care said. I'm find it so difficult and time consuming to comment on anything but wordpress these days.
