"We're not really all that superstitious, but since our dad can be a bit accident prone, we figured it might be a good day to stay indoors and read or sleep." How about you? Do you take extra care in what you do on Friday the 13th?

Nope...
ReplyDeleteI, for one, am not taking any chances. I've heard if you have 13 treats that zeros out any bad luck!
ReplyDeleteI was thirteen on Friday 13th many years ago and it has never bothered me at all.
ReplyDeleteI feel like those cats today. It snowed overnight and I don't feel like cleaning off the car and going to yoga class (bad of me). Instead I did some asanas at home :) Glad you reminded me it was Friday the 13th, so I have an excuse! Have a safe day!
ReplyDeleteI'm not superstitious, but think the cats make an excellent case for staying home. :-D
ReplyDeleteI am not superstitious, but I know there are a lot of people out there who are. I tend not to believe in that type of stuff very much, but I also understand it's different strokes for different folks!
ReplyDeleteSince I didn't even realize it was Friday the 13th until I saw your post I'd have to say that I'm not superstitious :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! I also adore black cats. However I am superstitious on Friday the 13th. I hate even leaving the house but Sam needs his walk so we'll be off soon.
ReplyDeleteI've never had such a cute thing arrive in my boxes from amazon! :) Friday the 13th has traditionally been a lucky day for me; however, we are staying home since one minute it's snowing and the next minute the sun is showing - but it's blowing like crazy.
ReplyDeleteCute pics! Nope not superstitious... actually did not even put the date together until this morning. :)
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I hadn't even realised it was Friday the 13th. I'm superstitious about certain things but not others. I always throw salt over my shoulder should I spill any and never walk under a ladder and I'm funny about putting an umbrella up indoors.
ReplyDeleteI never even realize it's Friday the 13th unless someone points it out to me.
ReplyDeleteThe cute kitties could not distract me from those Murakami books. The author would be proud, given his affinity for felines.
ReplyDeleteI'd actually forgotten that it's Friday the 13th!
ReplyDeleteCuuuute!
ReplyDeleteNope, as a matter of fact: I had my first date with my future hubby on Friday, December 13, 1957. On July 3rd, 2011 we celebrated our 53rd anniversary.
ReplyDeleteyou DEFINITELY have the right idea! We aren't particularly superstitious but with all of the cold out there we think cuddling up in a comfy box is a great idea! OMG YOUR BLOG LOOKS GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just LOVE IT! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I forgot most of the day that it was even the 13th. But my niece lost control of her car and slid into a very deep ditch. She's fine but the car, not so much!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think I was, but I did think about it while I was driving in the snow this morning, and I reminded my husband to drive carefully, and mentioned Fri 13th, so I guess I am:)
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the date until mid-afternoon. Nothing happened all day, so I guess I'm not superstitious,
ReplyDeleteAfter having out of state company all week (they left yesterday morning) I just forgot it was the 13th and did nothing but play catch up with reading once the guest room laundry was done.
ReplyDeleteNot since my daughter was born on a Friday the 13th 35 years ago...I was hoping for a girl (after three sons!), and now the 13th is like my lucky number.
ReplyDeleteThis was back before we knew the sex of the baby before birth...imagine that!
Yesterday (on the 13th), I had my annual physical and did feel a niggle of worry...but nothing untoward (so far) happened. Still have to do the bloodwork, which I always postpone as long as possible...
I just love this post, especially the first photo of the kitty with the stack of Haruki Murakami books!
ReplyDeleteMy cute fur kids aren't superstitious as they find it gets in the way of their curiosity and boy are they curious!
I never even put it together that yesterday was Friday the 13th so I guess I'm not!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I'm a tad superstition, but not about Friday 13th. I didn't realised what date it was until late in the night, so I was safe ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm not superstitious, but this Friday the 13th was kind of eventful for me. I was almost hit by a car crossing the street, so depending on how you view it I was either very lucky or almost very unlucky.
ReplyDeleteLoved the cat pics Diane!
I never really think about it. Beautiful cats, though!
