Mailbox Monday

 
Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. January's host is Alyce@ At Home with Books.


Sorry about the photo chop-job, but (4) books arrived last week.  The top (2): Five Chiefs; Stevens and Digital Photography; Horenstein were blog wins from Kim and Leslie. (Thank you so much, as well as the publishers for their generosity).

The bottom (2) The New Republic; Shriver and Waiting for Sunrise; Boyd, came to me from Shelf Awareness and the Amazon Vine Program.

    I'm curious to read your review for Shriver's new book, I have read two of her novels (love her writing) but this one... I'm not sure about.

    I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the Boyd book. I liked Ordinary Thunderstorms but felt like it didn't develop it as much as he could have.

    Hi Diane,

    Congratulations on your double win and for having four such diverse books in your haul this week.

    All of them are by new to me authors, but I know that hubbie would love the photography book and my best choice would be 'Waiting For Sunrise', which I have already added to my reading list.

    I'll be very curious to see what you think of the Shriver book. I was debating whether to order it from Vine but opted not to. I didn't love her latest book and wasn't quite up to dealing with another one in that ilk. You just never know what you'll get from her!

    I was going to say how much I love the cover pic of the flowers (poppies?) and then realized it was Digital Photography...duh. Can't wait to hear what you think of Shriver's book.
