Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is a fun meme where bloggers reveal the books that arrived at their house over the past week. It is hosted by Marcia of The Printed Page.

Did you get any loot this past week? Here is what arrived for me: Hannah's Dream; Diane Hammond (this one has been on my wish list for a while so I caved and bought it at a discount price). My Cousin Rachel; DuMaurier (caved again and one of you bloggers are to blame -- sorry, I do not recall who??) Wish Her Safe At Home; Stephen Benatar (Amazon Vine). Small Wars; Sadie Jone (Harper Collins); The Happiness Project; Gretchen Rubin (Harper Collin) and Ordinary Thunderstorms; William Boyd (Harper Collins)...Many Thanks to Harper Collins.

  1. Those look good, Diane. I hope you enjoy them! I ordered a few books through Powells even though I shouldn't have. I'm not expecting that box until next week though. Patience is a virtue, I keep telling myself. LOL

  15. Ohhh, what great books! I think I am going to start doing this meme. It always looks and sounds so much fun. My problem is remembering the books that I received, lol. I think I may make 2010 the year of the meme, lol.

  17. I read "Hannah's Dream" a while ago and thought it as so good...just a sweet book. Did you read her book "Going to Bend"? Also well-done, I thought.

I recently got "Brava, Valentine" by Adrianna Trigiani, the sequel to "Very Valentine", which I loved. And today I got a copy of Anne Lamott's upcoming novel, "Imperfect Birds". I think it has been 5 or 6 years since she wrote a novel

  20. I have been enthralled with all the reviews of Wish Her Safe at Home I've seen, and bought a copy of it. It's an older version, but I can't wait to read it! I will be excited to hear what you think of it too.

  21. I have also seen loads of great reviews on Wish Her Safe At Home. I was surprised to see that it was a initially published many years ago.

The Happiness Project is something I need after a less than ideal 2009. It sounds like a good way to start off the New Year and well DuMarier and Hannah's Elephant just are suppose to be truly beautiful reads....hoping hoping!

    Thanks for everyones sweet comments.
