Mailbox Monday is a fun meme where bloggers reveal the books that arrived at their house over the past week. It is hosted by Marcia of The Printed Page.
Did you get any loot this past week? Here is what arrived for me: Hannah's Dream; Diane Hammond (this one has been on my wish list for a while so I caved and bought it at a discount price). My Cousin Rachel; DuMaurier (caved again and one of you bloggers are to blame -- sorry, I do not recall who??) Wish Her Safe At Home; Stephen Benatar (Amazon Vine). Small Wars; Sadie Jone (Harper Collins); The Happiness Project; Gretchen Rubin (Harper Collin) and Ordinary Thunderstorms; William Boyd (Harper Collins)...Many Thanks to Harper Collins.Books Read in 2021

Those look good, Diane. I hope you enjoy them! I ordered a few books through Powells even though I shouldn't have. I'm not expecting that box until next week though. Patience is a virtue, I keep telling myself. LOL
ReplyDeleteI saw a rave review of Wish Her Safe At Home. Looking forward to seeing what you think.
ReplyDeleteThe only one on your list that I am familiar with is the Du Maurier book (not that I've read it though). Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI haven't got anything coming in the last few weeks as I'm on a book ban. Hehee... Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteMy Cousin Rachel is one of du Maurier's best. You didn't go wrong there.
ReplyDeleteI love the title of The Happiness Project. Will look forward to your review!
ReplyDeleteHannah's Dream looks interesting. They all look like good reads. Enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteYou had a great week! Hannah's Dream sounds like a good one.
ReplyDeleteWow! I also got "The Happiness Project," and I can't wait!

I bet The Happiness Project will be awesome. Her blog is great. Hope you enjoy reading all of these books!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I haven't heard of most of these. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of books Diane...Hannah's Dream has definitely caught my eye. Enjoy all of your new goods!
ReplyDeleteI have that same copy of My Cousin Rachel! :) Off to find out what The Happiness Project is about, because its title intrigues me.
ReplyDeleteThese look great, Diane! (Do you ever wonder what our mail deliverers think of us, getting all these books?!)
ReplyDeleteOhhh, what great books! I think I am going to start doing this meme. It always looks and sounds so much fun. My problem is remembering the books that I received, lol. I think I may make 2010 the year of the meme, lol.
ReplyDeletenice variety...happy reading!
ReplyDeleteOooh My Cousin Rachel was on my wishlist for Christmas. I did not receive it, but congrats to you!

The Crowded Leaf.
I read "Hannah's Dream" a while ago and thought it as so good...just a sweet book. Did you read her book "Going to Bend"? Also well-done, I thought.
ReplyDeleteI recently got "Brava, Valentine" by Adrianna Trigiani, the sequel to "Very Valentine", which I loved. And today I got a copy of Anne Lamott's upcoming novel, "Imperfect Birds". I think it has been 5 or 6 years since she wrote a novel
I just got The Happiness Project too and I can't wait to read it. Enjoy all your books!
ReplyDeleteNice pile, Diane! Definately swoon-worthy! LOL!~
ReplyDeleteI have been enthralled with all the reviews of Wish Her Safe at Home I've seen, and bought a copy of it. It's an older version, but I can't wait to read it! I will be excited to hear what you think of it too.
ReplyDeleteI have also seen loads of great reviews on Wish Her Safe At Home. I was surprised to see that it was a initially published many years ago.
ReplyDeleteThe Happiness Project is something I need after a less than ideal 2009. It sounds like a good way to start off the New Year and well DuMarier and Hannah's Elephant just are suppose to be truly beautiful reads....hoping hoping!
Thanks for everyones sweet comments.
Wow! They look great, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGreat mailbox! Enjoy!
