Library Loot - 8/14/09

Several good books came home from the library with me this week. I hope to read at least (2) of them this week:

  • That Old Cape Magic; Russo - 1st choice
  • The Earth Hums in B Flat; Mari Strachan - 2nd choice
  • Netherland; O'Neil - 3rd choice
  • Heroic Measures; Jill Ciment - 4th choice
  • Cutting for Stone; Verghese - last (really 1st but this one will take more time 500++ pages)

Diane's library-loot book recommendations, reviews, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists

  2. I just bought Russo's book yesterday! He's one of my favorites and the wait at the library was too long...

  5. Netherland is the only one on your list that I have read. It was slow going, but I enjoyed it. There is a scene at the DMV that I thought was perfect.

  6. Good ones Diane. I've got Russo's book and should start it soon. However yesterday I went to the library just to pick up an audio book and came home with a bagful of YA titles instead. lol-Just can't seem to control myself around books anywhere.
