(p. 150).... "My prayers continued to hold steady between thirty to forty minutes each morning, and I walked briskly around campus, singing up into the treetops and often shielding my eyes with my hands like blinders so I could keep my dangerous objects pile small.  Sometimes it worked and sometimes I couldn't stop the blowout from engulfing my brain".
 
(This memoir really is very good).
