  9. ARGHHHH ignore my last comment. Firefox is acting up and I was having trouble commenting on someone else's post and ended up writing here by mistake.

Meant to tell *you* that all your books are new to me so I'm looking forward to the reviews.

  14. No books in the mail this week for me. This is probably a good thing! I just finished The Seance - LOVED IT. I think it was better than The Ghost Writer, though I did enjoy Ghost Writer. I think the author just got better at telling his story by the time he got to The Seance.

  18. Hi, Diane. I saw your comment about my novel over at Cindy's blog. If I may be so bold, it is good! Not as pretty as your blog, however. Anyway if you do get your hands on it, let me know your thoughts.

I LOVE Anita Brookner. Fraud is the most beautiful novel. She has a distinctive view of the world. Enjoy!

  19. I've heard great things about Anita Desai, but sadly the only book of hers I read (The Zigzay Way) didn't work for me :( I'm willing to try her again, though, so I look forward to your review of Fasting, Feasting.
