Ooo! I love it when new books arrive in the mail! I hope you enjoy your new ones, Diane!
I purchased Anita Brookner's "Leaving Home about six weeks ago-hope to get it read by year end-will be curious to see how you like your new Brookner-I have also read "Starting Life" and enjoyed it a lot-
I haven't read any of the ones you've got there but still, have fun with them! :D
Some fabulous books. I am sure I read a book by Anita Brookner years ago. I will have to check it out.
Would love to see your comments on Anita Desai's book. Am thinking of adding her to my TBR list.
They all look good. I think I would like to read the Desai.
They all look good! It'll be hard to decide which one to read first.
I missed this challenge -- looks great!! Congrats on finishing.
ARGHHHH ignore my last comment. Firefox is acting up and I was having trouble commenting on someone else's post and ended up writing here by mistake.Meant to tell *you* that all your books are new to me so I'm looking forward to the reviews.
These all look good. Happy reading!--AnnaDiary of an Eccentric
These sound fascinating! I only got one, but it, too, is a good one!Check it here:http://laurelrainsnowcreations.blogspot.com
I've had my eye on Anita Brookner for years but never have read any. Looking forward to the review.
I got only two but thats ok!Mondays: Musings/Mailbox Bonanza/Whereabouts
Isn't it fun to get books in the mail?! Enjoy your new books!
These look like fun (and I haven't seen any of them before).
No books in the mail this week for me. This is probably a good thing! I just finished The Seance - LOVED IT. I think it was better than The Ghost Writer, though I did enjoy Ghost Writer. I think the author just got better at telling his story by the time he got to The Seance.
Looks like some good books. Enjoy!
I am intrigued by Fasting, Feasting and am going to go look it up. Thanks!
I have The Gift of an Ordinary Day here too. Happy reading.
Hi, Diane. I saw your comment about my novel over at Cindy's blog. If I may be so bold, it is good! Not as pretty as your blog, however. Anyway if you do get your hands on it, let me know your thoughts. I LOVE Anita Brookner. Fraud is the most beautiful novel. She has a distinctive view of the world. Enjoy!
I've heard great things about Anita Desai, but sadly the only book of hers I read (The Zigzay Way) didn't work for me :( I'm willing to try her again, though, so I look forward to your review of Fasting, Feasting.
I love the idea of An Ordinary Day...really can't wait for you to fill us in on that one!
Just wanted to say thanks for stopping by and cheering me on during the readathon. The comments really helped! Those look like great reads. :)
Fasting, Feasting sounds particularly intriguing. Enjoy your new books!
What lovely books you have there - i hope you enjoy them all.
